The Infusion Center is seeking an Experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join the Infusion Center team at Brigham and Women&rsquo;s Faulkner Hospital. The Infusion APP will work within our adult Infusion Center to serve as an infusion first responder, promote infusion service access and efficiency and may provide urgent care/symptom management in close collaboration with longitudinal medicine providers. The Infusion Center APP reports directly to the APP Manager.<br>

The APP is a licensed provider. The APP is responsible for assessing and managing various patient populations, including those with medical and/or surgical conditions, as well as providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, developing appropriate plans of care, and conducting ongoing evaluations. May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners.<br>

Join a dynamic inpatient oncology team. Work within one of our two subspecialty groups with APPs that specialize in either 1) solid tumor, caring for an oncology patient population who are admitted for medical complications, new diagnoses, and treatment-related side effects, or 2) hematologic malignancies, caring for patients receiving bone marrow transplant and cellular therapies. This role offers the perfect blend of autonomy and collaboration. You&rsquo;ll work closely with oncologists and an interdisciplinary team to deliver cutting-edge care on either our solid tumor or hematologic malignancy service. Our APPs have the opportunity to be on the forefront of cancer care, collaborating with research teams to care for patients receiving first-in-human therapies as well as standard of care.

Summary The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Assists junior Medical Assistants with day-to-day questions and responsibilities and helps facilitate their learning by participating in onboarding training.

<ul><li>Show patients to examination rooms, prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers, and interview patients to obtain medical information, measure their vital signs, weight, and height, and record information in the patient's medical record.

<ul><li>Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, and physician instructions to patients, ordering and organizing educational materials to reinforce patient education.
</li></ul><br>
<ul><li>Perform general office duties, such as answering phones, taking dictation, and completing insurance forms, while acting as a liaison with other departments and advocating for patients with a positive customer service approach.

<ul><li>Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log them, and prepare them for testing; perform phlebotomy if competence is demonstrated.

<ul><li>Maintains inventory of immunizations and check expiration dates.

<ul><li>Provides immunizations (as applicable) which requires certification or 3 years of experience administering a vaccine and supervision of a provider.
