Job Description: The Intellectual Property Service Assistant (IPSA) provides support to attorneys, and paralegals in the Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation practice group and ensures all day-to-day responsibilities are met while exercising discretion and confidentiality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Ensure compliance with daily policies and procedures related to assigned duties, following established firm guidelines. Prioritize and manage daily tasks and communicate any inability to meet responsibilities.</li><li>
Provide coverage and assist Paralegals with various paralegal overflow tasks, including after-hours and weekend coverage when necessary.</li><li>
Assist in the management and review of source code in intellectual property litigation, including organizing, indexing, and maintaining source code repositories, and coordinating with technical experts to ensure accurate and efficient analysis.</li><li>
Create shells for pleadings, motions, briefs, contentions, discovery requests/responses, expert reports, and pre-trial submissions.</li><li>
Responsible for the shipping of outgoing mail to experts and the courts.</li><li>
File motions in District Courts, demonstrating preparedness and professionalism with Docket Clerks and other court personnel.</li><li>

We're on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-oriented Case Manager to join our team and support our attorneys through all phases of pre-litigation and some litigation. This is a 100% onsite position for us at our Downtown Boston, MA office. We believe this work is done best together!

What You'll Do:</h1>
<ul><li>Own the docket: Handle a full slate of pre-litigation injury files&mdash;plus the early stages of litigation&mdash;taking each case from intake through signed release with minimal attorney touchpoints.</li>
<li>Drive negotiations: Analyze coverage, build demands, and negotiate directly with adjusters to hit or beat firm-set settlement and cycle-time targets.</li>
<li>Guide the client experience: Serve as the primary contact for clients and medical providers, giving timely updates, gathering records, and coaching clients on treatment and recovery milestones.</li>
<li>Control the paperwork: Order, audit, and summarize medical bills and liens, track all deadlines, and maintain immaculate digital files in Filevine (or similar) so attorneys can drop in and see instant status.</li>
<li>Clear the finish line: Finalize lien resolutions, draft closing statements, and coordinate disbursements to wrap cases cleanly and keep referrals flowing.</li>
</ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">What You Need</h1>
<ul><li>At least two years of bodily-injury insurance claims&ndash;adjusting experience handling full liability evaluation and settlement authority of fifty thousand dollars or more</li>
<li>Or at least five years of plaintiff-side personal-injury case management in a high-volume firm where you personally negotiated settlements with insurance agents.</li>
<li>Currently located in the state of Massachusetts.</li>
<li>Demonstrated record of independently moving a docket of sixty or more pre-litigation injury files from intake through signed release, including demand drafting, policy limits analysis, lien resolution, and final disbursement.</li>
<li>Solid grasp of medical terminology and the ability to read, summarize, and value treatment records and bills without attorney guidance.</li>
<li>Proven negotiation results that meet or exceed firm-set settlement targets and cycle-time expectations.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of state-specific personal-injury statutes, comparative-fault rules, lien subrogation, and coverage triggers.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft 365 plus at least one cloud case-management platform such as Filevine, Litify, or Clio, including custom-report generation.</li>
<li>Exceptional client-facing communication skills and the confidence to coordinate directly with adjusters, providers, and opposing counsel.</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, claims-adjuster license, or any combination that shows formal training in claims, law, or healthcare documentation.</li>
<li>Availability to be in office most days during onboarding, then operate with minimal supervision while meeting/exceeding weekly productivity metrics agreed upon with the managing attorney.</li>
