What you’ll do: 
The Brass Tacks:

Required Education and Experience

Compliance Analyst

<div>Lab Supervisor, Transfusion
The Clinical Lab is seeking a Supervisor who will lead and support blood bank operations while ensuring compliance with FDA, AABB, and state regulations. This role involves supervising staff, managing blood product inventory, and coordinating closely with blood suppliers to maintain appropriate stock levels. The position works in close partnership with the transfusion service medical director and physicians to support safe and effective patient care. Prior supervisory experience in a blood bank or similar setting. SBB ASCP certification and experience in a pediatric hospital setting are preferred.
Supervise the day-to-day operations of a clinical laboratory section and perform specimen analysis. Select, train, grow, and retain the caliber of staff necessary to achieve the laboratory quality and customer service goals. Ensure maintenance of a safe environment for staff and patients. 
Required Education and Experience 
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, clinical/medical laboratory science, or medical technology program from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum five (5) years clinical or research lab experience with progressive increase in responsibility. 
 
Required Credentials
 
Certification by an agency approved by the U.S. Department of Education or a National Commission for Health Certifying Agencies (NCHCA). Common credentials are granted by ASCP, NCA, or AMT. State Certifications are also acceptable. As per the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), for Lab Supervisor performing moderate or high complex point of care testing, a copy of a diploma or transcript of the highest level of academic achievement to be on record with Human Resources upon hire. For personnel trained outside of the U.S., records of diploma/transcript must provide documented equivalency evaluation by a foreign credentialing agency.

TEMPORARY or Out-of-Class (OOC) Training & Education Coordinator, Assistant with Human Resources

<div>Under the direction of the Professional Compliance Officer (CO), this role will develop and oversee key elements of the professional compliance program for Seattle Children's employed and contracted providers, including the Seattle Children's Physician Network (SCPCN). 
The role involves designing, implementing, and managing the SC professional compliance program to ensure that SC providers submitting professional claims adhere to applicable laws, contractual obligations, internal policies, and ethical standards. This includes identifying and leading special compliance projects or investigations related to coding, billing, reimbursement, and other regulatory matters. 
The position contributes to the annual compliance work plan, advises the CO on billing and coding matters, and conducts research and analysis to support compliance decisions. This includes reviewing industry standards and facilitating consultations for policy development or process improvements. 
Key operational functions include managing all components of the SC professional compliance program, while personally performing some components, such as annual audit, ad hoc investigations, as directed by the CO. 
Additional duties include tracking resolutions, identifying trends in compliance issues, and participating in identification of solutions and system changes. The position also tracks OIG work plan issues and CMS billing compliance initiatives, advising the CO on their impact. 
The role may include presenting at board level meetings, large group training, and in interactions with the payer community. This position develops goals, plans, and metrics, ensuring effective communication and implementation of initiatives.

Optimal candidates will have the ability to tutor Math at a minimum of the full Calculus series and additional STEM subjects.

Position Summary
Under direction of Learning Support Network staff, student tutors will be responsible for providing one-on-one, embedded tutoring, and group tutoring to students in their subject area(s) of expertise. Student tutors will be expected to work on campus, whether tutoring students in-person or online. In addition, student tutors will mentor new tutors and will assist with marketing and outreach of the tutoring services and learning centers. This position will work primarily during academic quarters when classes are in session. Work activities may be assigned onsite or remote/online. Trainings and meetings will be conducted primarily onsite. This position is part of the Libraries, Learning Support, and Employee Development division, and is committed to student-centered, equity-producing, antiracist, and accessible tutoring services.
This position is part-time, working up to 16 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, primarily in person, between the hours of 10am-7pm. Times and days subject to change quarter to quarter based on need.

What you will be working on:<ul><li>
One-to-one tutoring. Meet with individual students to assist them with coursework and assignments, mentor them on academic study and college success skills, direct them to relevant campus resources, and promote their self-efficacy as learners.</li><li>
Group tutoring. Lead group tutoring sessions in specific academic subject areas.</li><li>
Embedded tutoring. Serve as an embedded tutor in assigned class(es), provide one-on-one and group tutoring to students in that/those class(es), and communicate with faculty regarding assignments and coursework.</li><li>
Outreach and Marketing. Give quarterly classroom presentations about tutoring services and resources, assist with hallway tabling, and help distribute marketing materials.</li><li>
Participate in training and staff meetings. Attend and participate in required training and staff meetings as part of ongoing tutoring professional development.</li><li>
Mentor new tutors. Help orient new tutors so they can successfully integrate into the learning centers and incorporate best practices when tutoring.</li><li>
Computer assistance and utilize technology tools. Assist students with accessing computer applications including Canvas and Microsoft Word. Utilize the following computer applications while on shift: Zoom, Starfish, ctcLink, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, email, etc.</li><li>
Perform other duties as required.</li></ul>

SDOT&rsquo;s Contracts team is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Contracts Specialist (Senior Project Funding &amp; Agreements Coordinator classification) who will support SDOT&rsquo;s consultant contracting needs as we continue to execute on the $1.55 Billion Move Levy passed by voters in November 2024. Reporting to the Contracts Manager within the Contracts &amp; Procurement group, but acting independently, this position will work across the entire department of transportation, as well as collaborate with staff from other departments within the City to perform a variety of consultant contracting related tasks. SDOT&rsquo;s consultant contracting needs currently exceed $82M in active contracts for projects related to Move Levy, Vision Zero, Central Waterfront, Bus Rapid Transit, bridge projects, and full solicitations needed for complex federally funded contracts to ensure requirement compliance, as well as 553 current SDOT consultant contract documents of which 400 had contract action by contracts staff last year alone. As a point of clarification, this position works in consultant professional services; it is not involved with grants contracts, purchasing procurements, or public works construction contracts.</div> 

<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Job Responsibilities</h2></div>
<div><ul><li>Develops, drafts, and executes consultant contracts, amendments, and work authorizations.</li><li>
Develops, drafts, and manages competitive requests for qualifications (RFQs).</li><li>
Oversees and facilitates the full life cycle of the consultant selection process from solicitation to contract execution.</li><li>
Plays a strong customer service and subject matter expertise role in supporting project managers who are initiating contracts and guiding them through the contract process.</li><li>
Uses a citywide contract management system called Masterworks, PeopleSoft 9.2 (the City's financial system), Laserfiche, and SDOT's Consultant Contract Database (CCDB) to input and track contracts.</li><li>
Advises and trains staff and consultants on City, State, and Federal contracting policies, requirements, and best practices with a focus on ethical practice. Researches laws, regulations, and best practices and responds to questions.</li><li>
Has independent assignments and also works collaboratively within the Contracts Team to advance work</li><li>
Supports City and department goals in promoting diversity and social justice by supporting the City&rsquo;s Women- and Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (WMBE) initiatives, Federal Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program (DBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) program.</li><li>
Participates in ongoing improvements to policies and procedures, forms and templates, and training materials.

<div>Minimum Qualifications: 
Education:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business or public administration, finance, economics, or another related field.</li></ul>
Experience:<ul><li>
Three (3) years of professional experience running government consultant contract solicitations, writing consultant contract documents, project management, grant administration, inter-agency agreements, contract administration or related work.</li></ul>
OR: An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the position duties.
Though not a requirement, strong candidates will have some of the following experience or are able to describe comparable experience:<ul><li>
Previous experience with public sector consultant contracting, including regulatory agency policies and procedures.</li><li>
Demonstrated capability to actively manage multiple contract assignments and processes at once in a fast-paced work environment; ability to prioritize work based upon ever-changing situations.</li><li>
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access), Microsoft SharePoint, Adobe Sign.</li><li>
Excellent organizational skills</li><li>
Be comfortable leading meetings and guiding others (including higher level managers) through the contracting process</li><li>
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills to a broad range of professionals and less experienced people regarding contracting policy and processes.</li><li>
Demonstrated customer service ability to collaborate effectively in a wide range of work environments and personality types.</li><li>
Must have a strong attention to detail and follow through on work commitments.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to work both independently, as well as part of a team.</li><li>

Other Requirements: 
Work Environment / Physical Demands:<ul><li>
Work is typically performed in a hybrid work environment in which currently a minimum of 3 days of the work week is performed in our City office downtown, and 2 days at home. The position works a regular 40-hour work week. Return to office protocols are subject to change at the direction of the Mayor&rsquo;s Office and SDOT leadership.</li></ul></div>
