KING 5</b>, TEGNA's NBC affiliate in Seattle, is looking for an experienced <b>Photojournalist </b>to join our national award-winning staff. Qualified candidates must create high-quality content within challenging news deadlines. We are seeking an individual who can break the mold on traditional content and independently produce stories for our on-air and digital platforms. This photojournalist will also have the unique opportunity to pitch and execute long form projects for linear and streaming platforms while receiving editorial and creative guidance from top professionals in the industry.

In This Role, You Will
<br>
<br>
<ul><li>Capture video and audio elements to craft compelling and captivating news, sports, and feature stories for both our linear AND streaming platforms.
</li><li>Collaborate with reporters to develop a cohesive vision for stories.
</li><li>Independently gather and create stories, showcasing your creativity and journalistic prowess.
</li><li>Edit stories using Edius and other editing platforms (i.e. Adobe Premiere).
</li><li>Generate digital content, edit vertical videos daily for our social media app, and efficiently post on social platforms.
</li><li>Operate electronic newsgathering (ENG) vans and live remote equipment.
</li></ul><br>
Preferred Minimum Requirements
<br>
<br>
<ul><li>4+ years of relevant experience in TV photojournalism and/or news editing, OR 2+ years of relevant experience coupled with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
</li><li>Possession of a valid driver's license, with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and occasionally up to 80 pounds, with or without accommodation.
</li><li>Flexibility to work mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends.
</li></ul><br>
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
<br>
<ul><li>FAA Part 107 Pilot's license with experience operating a drone for newsgathering
</li><li>Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, &amp; Photoshop) to create compelling visual graphics.
</li><li>Competency in operating mirrorless cameras (Sony FS7 and a7s series).</li></ul></div>
