 Our Middle East operations have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our office in Doha, Qatar.
 
 
 We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience. We are looking for someone who is passionate about their field, constantly learning and bringing innovative ideas to life. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background with the ability to:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Design low-voltage (LV) systems, including power distribution, emergency power, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and cable management in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Design and review renewable energy systems such as solar PV systems, covering panel layout, inverter configuration, string sizing, and integration with the main electrical network if required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Have a basic understanding of data center design principles, including power distribution, redundancy concepts, cooling considerations, and typical layout requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform power system studies including load flow, short circuit analysis, motor starting, transient analysis, protection coordination, harmonic analysis, arc flash studies, and equipment sizing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Utilize engineering software such as ETAP, Amtech, AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux Evo, Relux, AGi32, StrikeRisk, PVsyst, and Microsoft Office applications.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with the electrical and multidisciplinary teams during the concept, schematic, and detailed design stages of the project.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare infrastructure plans for low voltage (LV), and extra-low voltage (ELV) networks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Possess general knowledge of extra-low voltage (ELV) systems, including data and voice networks, fire alarms, public address systems, access control, intrusion alarms, IPTV, and intercom systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Be a Registered Engineer (or in the process of registration) with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) in Qatar.

 Deliver technical design and engineering services in Electrical Engineering for all assigned projects, leveraging deep expertise and hands-on experience with electrical systems in large-scale Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plants. Ensure technical excellence and compliance with QatarEnergy standards, while maintaining quality, schedule, cost efficiency, and adherence to HSE requirements.
 
 
 
 Required Experience And Skills

 Expertise in electrical systems for CCGT power plants, including design, operation, and integration.

 <li>
 Proven experience with high-voltage systems up to 400 kV and large-scale power plant projects.

 Collaboration with major OEMs (Siemens, GE, MHI) for gas and steam turbine integration.
 </li>

 Skilled in specifying large transformers (&gt;500 MVA) and generator circuit breakers (22&ndash;24 kV).

 Primary Purpose Of The Job
 
 
 
 Function as a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer for a Power and Desalination Plant project, providing technical assurance over the Contractor&rsquo;s civil and structural design from commencement through completion. The role requires independent technical capability to manage, review, verify and approve all civil and structural engineering deliverables associated with a power generation and desalination facility, including complex onshore and marine infrastructure.
 
 
 The Senior Civil/Structural Engineer shall ensure suitability of civil and structural designs for site development, dynamic equipment foundations, very large prestressed potable water retaining structures, large‑scale drainage and earthworks, switching stations and electrical yards. Detailed design knowledge of the abovementioned facilities is required, including the ability to develop scopes of work and provide technical assurance for engineered elements.
 
 
 
 Required Experience And Skills
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Minimum 15 years of relevant post‑graduate experience, of which at least 10 years shall be related to power plant, oil &amp; gas, or other heavy industrial projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in plant site development, including roads, earthworks, complex drainage systems, utility‑scale power plants, including heavy turbines and generator foundations associated with major industrial facilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Design experience in large prestressed potable water retaining structures, and large seawater tanks and settlement basins.
 </li>
 <li>
 Design experience in nearshore and marine civil infrastructure, including seawater intake and brine discharge systems, nearshore civil works, and coastal protection infrastructure.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience developing scope of work for geotechnical and Topographical investigation and interpreting outcome reports.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience providing technical support during construction phase of mega‑projects, including resolution of complex civil and structural engineering issues during execution.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience across Concept / Feasibility, FEED, and EPIC phases.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with US and European civil/structural codes and standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong technical capability, with the ability to resolve complex engineering issues independently and without reliance on third‑party intervention.
