Under the direction of the ITS Project Management Office, the Project Manager will plan, direct and coordinate activities surrounding department or organizational project(s) and initiative(s) to ensure goals and objectives are met within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Responsibilities include managing all phases of IT projects - feasibility, planning, design, build, test, implement, and close. The Project Manager will be responsible for following the ITS project management lifecycle and governance process, using the enterprise PPM tool for project management and team collaboration, building and leading cross-functional project teams, developing, resourcing and managing project work plans. The Project Manager will facilitate information flow between project team members, management, vendors and other project stakeholders. This role will facilitate and operationalize relationships with external organizations, vendors, and other strategic partners. The Project Manager has some managerial level responsibility and decision-making authority for assigned projects. The Project Manager will collaborate with PMO team members and other ITS stakeholders to foster continuous improvement of BMCHS ITS project management practices.</p><p></p><p><b>

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:</b></p><ul>
<li>
Partner with customers, IT stakeholders, vendors, and other internal/external project stakeholders to define project scope, develop project plans, and successfully deliver customer value via execution of those plans.</li>
<li>Coordinate with ITS Resource Managers to identify and assign appropriate staff to projects to ensure timely completion of project work.</li>
<li>Schedule and facilitate project status meetings, working sessions, etc. required to ensure the project is progressing according to plan and stakeholders are well-informed about relevant project details.</li>
<li>Follow IT PMO standards, including following the IT project management lifecycle, using standard templates and storage locations, and adhering to standards related to use of the enterprise PPM tool.</li>
<li>Ensure project stakeholder information requirements are identified and addressed.</li>
<li>Maintain project status information in the enterprise PPM tool and communicate project status to appropriate stakeholders on a regular basis.</li>
<li>Identify, document, and facilitate resolution of project issues and risks, using expert judgment to escalate to appropriate leadership in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Create and maintain project schedules to ensure they reflect progress to date vs. the original plan as accurately as possible.</li>
<li>Ensure project documentation is auditable.</li>
<li>Prepare and deliver project-related presentations to project stakeholders, governance committees, etc.</li>
<li>Contribute to IT project management continuous improvement activities.</li>

EXPERIENCE:</b></p><ul>

3-5 years of experience in project management, including software/system project experience</li>
<li>Experience with tools used for project management and reporting (MS Project, Planview, ServiceNow PPM, Clarity, Jira, etc.) and project team collaboration (MS Teams, SharePoint, ProjectPlace, etc.) preferred.</li>
<li>Experience in all phases of project management on small-to-large-scale projects</li>
<li>Business process flow analysis experience preferred</li>
<li>Healthcare project management experience (e.g. hospital, health insurance, pharmacy, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.) preferred</li>
<li>IT project management experience (e.g. enterprise software implementation/upgrade, hardware implementation/upgrade, IT infrastructure projects, health insurance product implementation, etc.)</li>
<li>Proven success working in a highly matrixed environment</li>
<li>Proven experience in managing multiple vendors</li>
<li>Prior supervisory experience a plus</li>
<li>Demonstrated technical skills and knowledge</li>

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
