Parsons is looking for an exceptionally talented <b>Senior Hardscape Architect</b> to join our site-based construction supervision team on a major public realm development in Diriyah, which includes a series of iconic and neighborhood parks, open spaces, and over 55 kilometers of streetscape. The objective of this program is to create a vibrant, inclusive environment that enhances livability, accessibility, and community well-being.</p><p></p><p>
What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing</p><ul><li><p>
Report to the Construction Director/Resident Engineer and act as the discipline lead for hardscape and landscape architectural works on site.</p></li><li><p>
Supervise and monitor the construction of all hardscape works (paving, plazas, walkways, curbs, steps, ramps, seating elements, walls, edging, site furnishings, shading structures, and related landscape built elements) to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.</p></li><li><p>
Review and comment on shop drawings, setting-out drawings, material submittals, method statements, and ITPs related to hardscape and architectural landscape works, and coordinate approvals with relevant stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>
Conduct daily site inspections and regular site walks to monitor workmanship, detailing, finishes, and overall quality of hardscape installations in line with the project design intent.</p></li><li><p>
Check that levels, gradients, patterns, joints, alignments, and finishes match approved drawings, mock-ups, and specifications.</p></li><li><p>
Coordinate and follow up on inspection requests (IRs), NCRs, and site observations with the contractor, ensuring timely corrective actions and closure.</p></li><li><p>
Liaise closely with Project Managers, resident engineers, structural engineers, wet and dry utilities engineers, architects, landscape architects, and the contractor&rsquo;s team to resolve on-site design and interface issues.</p></li><li><p>
Review and approve samples, mock-ups, and trial areas for paving, finishes, and site furniture prior to full implementation.</p></li><li><p>
Verify as-built drawings for hardscape and landscape architectural elements, ensuring they accurately represent the constructed works.</p></li><li><p>
Participate in progress, technical, and coordination meetings, providing professional input on hardscape-related issues, risks, and mitigation measures.</p></li><li><p>
Monitor the contractor&rsquo;s work program, sequencing, and resources for hardscape works, highlighting potential delays or constraints and proposing solutions.</p></li><li><p>

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS</p><div><div><div><ul><p>
Undergraduate or master&rsquo;s degree; or equivalent experience</p><p>
8+ years of experience in software development and architecture with a demonstrated track record of successfully understanding the business requirements and designing realistic and effective solutions</p><p>
Active in the tech community (e.g. contributing to open-source projects, speaking at conferences, blogging, etc.) and experience working collaboratively with technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders</p><p>
Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience across the full application stack with some of the following languages/frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Vue, jQuery, Java, Sprint, C#, .NET, Node.js, SQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, cloud-native databases, AWS, Azure, GCP, Jenkins, Docker, Circle CI, Travis Engineering practice experience such as code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications, application security</p><p>
Experience leading in Agile teams, including coaching and modeling Agile mindsets as part of sprint ceremonies, work definition and building developer capabilities</p><p>
Experience writing unit tests with major frameworks (e.g., Karma, JUnit, NUnit, MSTest) and practicing test-driven development</p><p>
Exceptional time management to meet your responsibilities in a complex and largely autonomous work environment</p><p>
