<div>As a member of the Regulatory, Compliance, &amp; Contracts Team, the Regulatory Coordinator processes appeals, complaints, and grievances under the direction of the Regulatory Supervisor This role will analyze, research, and make determinations (decisions) on exception requests, Office of the Insurance Commissioner inquiries (complaints), grievances, and appeals on the member&rsquo;s behalf, as a well as manage and present relevant information to our formal Appeal&rsquo;s Committee. They work cross-departmentally, and with our members and external organizations such as any third-party administrators, groups, Better Business Bureau, Attorney General, and the Office of Insurance Commissioner (OIC). Regulatory Standards and Processing
<ul><li>Create and maintain accurate and timely documentation including complete case files.</li>
<li>Understand and apply knowledge of applicable government regulations as they apply to individual Appeals and/or complaints, utilizing available resources both internally and external to DDWA.</li>
<li>Manage Appeals, Complaints, and Grievances, and process in adherence to state and federal regulations, contractual obligations, and established processes.</li>
<li>Possess a high level of confidentiality and understanding of HIPAA privacy requirements, with the ability to handle information in a confidential manner.</li>
<li>Work cross-functionally with Dental Consultants, third party administrators, providers, and others as needed to ensure all documentation necessary for review of an appeal, complaint, or grievance is obtained.</li>
<li>Analyze and research appeal, complaint, or grievance submissions, and inquiries, applying critical thinking, independent judgment, and business sense to conduct a non-biased, accurate and timely investigation. Make a final determination on complaints, and non-committee appeals, based on evidence and contractual obligations.</li>
<li>Produce comprehensive and professional informal, formal, and legal correspondence including determination letters, responses to the OIC and other agencies, third-party administrators and others as needed within regulatory timeframes and within established processes.</li>
<li>Manage meeting attendance, agenda, and scheduling for formal Appeals Committee.</li>
<li>Work with Dental Consultants to conduct clinical review, prepare summary and material for review at the committee meeting, address any questions, facilitate a vote.</li>
<li>Present and facilitate committee review of non-clinical appeals, prepare summary and material for review at the committee meeting, address any questions, facilitate a vote.</li>
<li>Document the committee determination, including tracking attendance and member votes, and follow up on any action items as needed.</li>
</ul>
Additional Responsibilities
<ul><li>Manage the shared team inbox for external and internal customers, implementing a system for triage.</li>
<li>Complete intake process for appeals, complaints, grievances, and other items submitted to the Regulatory, Compliance, &amp; Contracts team.</li>
<li>Create and distribute reports as assigned.</li>
<li>Maintain and update department guidance and procedure documents, identify and implement opportunities for process improvements.</li>
<li>Capture changing trends in the type and volume of appeals, complaints and grievances received and communicate to leadership.</li>

The Division of Hematology &amp; Oncology has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator. The purpose of this position is to promote the research objectives of the Cancer Vaccine Institute (CVI) in the Division of Medical Oncology. This position will work as a member of the Clinical Research Team that conducts primarily Phase I and Phase II Investigator-initiated clinical trials to test immune-based therapies for cancer.
Position Complexities
Complexities and dimensions of this position include the requirement for close collaboration with research partners in community oncology practices to identify potential study patients, to interview patients to assess interest in clinical trial participation, and to review medical records to determine if patients are eligible for immunotherapy trials. Patients currently being enrolled in CVI trials typically have advanced stage cancer, and the emotional impact of working closely with this patient population can be a challenge. This position requires the collection and organization of a large volume of detailed medical and clinical research information, and the ability to continually refine processes and procedures to work more efficiently and effectively.
Position Dimensions and Impact to the University
The UW Medicine CVI's mission is to conduct basic and clinical research that leads to the development of effective immune-based cancer therapies and diagnostic tests. The Research Coordinator 1 will play a key role in implementing clinical trials that test new cancer therapies. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Trial Intake: 40%
&middot; Act as initial point of contact for all new clinical trial referrals and inquiries.

Organizational Overview

The King County Regional Homelessness Authority (KCRHA) is a public administrative agency created by an interlocal agreement between the City of Seattle and King County. KCRHA is responsible for unifying, coordinating, and administering the funding of emergency services for people experiencing homelessness &mdash; to provide oversight and accountability. Our mission is to administer effective, performance-based homeless services to support a high-functioning homelessness crisis response system to significantly decrease the incidence of unsheltered homelessness across King County using equity and social justice principles. Crisis response includes services that support those who are not yet in permanent housing such as: Emergency shelter, Transitional Housing, Tiny Home Villages, Rapid Re-Housing, Day Centers, and Severe Weather shelter. 
 
 
Team Overview

The Operations Division reports into the Office of the Chief People Officer which oversees Human Resources and Operations. The team directly interacts with all offices across KCRHA, working closely with the Executive Office to ensure direct operation alignment with the strategy and goals of the agency. 


Role Description

The Senior Coordinator will oversee KCRHA&rsquo;s facilities operations and technology infrastructure as well as support the Manager in ensuring the reliability of our IT systems, security and efficiency while aligning technology solutions with business goals. They will support IT, equipment and supply inventory as well as other operational responsibilities to provide support and customer service to KCRHA employees. 


Accountabilities

System Operations

Assist in all IT related tasks as instructed by the Manager of IT.</li>

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
<ul>
<li>Demonstrate and maintain familiarity with program and course objectives.</li>
<li>Prepare and deliver instruction that aligns with the assigned course objectives of the established curriculum.</li>
<li>Develop, implement, grade, and provide substantive feedback for examinations, projects, assignments, and other assessments consistent with institutional and accreditation standards.</li>
<li>Implement daily lesson plans and class activities to align with Program competencies.</li>
<li>Utilize evidence-based teaching methodologies that support active learning, critical thinking, and professional development.</li>
<li>Monitor student attendance and coordinate with the Program Director and Student Services Coordinator when absences occur.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, grades, and performance in accordance with established policies.</li>
<li>Participate in curriculum review, course development, and program improvement initiatives.</li>
<li>Assist in the preparation of accreditation reports, assessments, and institutional documentation.</li>
<li>Monitor student academic progress and inform the Program Director when a student&rsquo;s grade average doesn&rsquo;t meet the minimum requirement of 77%.</li>
<li>Provide academic advisement, tutoring, and mentorship as appropriate to student needs in coordination with Clinical Director and Program Director.</li>
<li>Monitor students in the classroom. Ensures academic policies are adhered to by students.</li>
<li>Attend and participate in faculty meetings, calibration sessions, and professional development activities.</li>
<li>Obtain and maintain current knowledge of dental hygiene practice, education, and research, documented background in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments; Current knowledge of the specific subjects being taught.</li>
<li>When assigned, supervise, evaluate, and support students in preclinical, clinical, and/or laboratory environments.</li>
<li>When assigned, provide chairside guidance and reinforcement of didactic principles through hands-on practice.</li>
<li>Evaluate student clinical and laboratory competencies using established rubrics and program standards.</li>
<li>Collaborate with clinical instructors to ensure alignment between didactic instruction and clinical performance.</li>
<li>Provide dental hygiene students with tutoring assistance as needed.</li>
<li>Refer students to the Student Services Coordinator if assistance is beyond the instructor&rsquo;s scope or at the student&rsquo;s request. The Student Services Coordinator will provide students with assistance to identify outside agencies that specialize in tutoring services, meeting specific needs.</li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>Must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited agency that is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).</li>
<li>Must be a dental hygienist or dentist who is a graduate of a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.</li>
<li>Three (3) years of clinical experience as a dental hygienist or dentist.</li>
<li>Must hold and maintain current dental or dental hygiene licenses, certifications, or other designations and fulfill all continuing education hours, mandated training, and CPR certification as required by local, state, or federal laws to work in the field.</li>
<li>Scope of practice-specific certifications, as required.</li>
<li>Proficient with Google Workplace, Microsoft Office, and other computer applications.</li>
<li>Any equivalent combination of training, education, or experience that meets the minimum qualifications.</li>
