</b></h2><p>WSP is currently initiating a search for a <b>Resident Engineer / Construction Manager </b>for our <b>Seattle, WA office. </b>This role could also be assigned to our office in <b>Redmond. </b>Be involved in projects with our <b>Construction Management Team </b>and be a part of a growing organization that meets their client's objectives and solves their challenges <b>. </b>The <b>RE/CM </b>will have extensive dam and heavy civil construction experience to support complex water infrastructure projects, including large dam rehabilitation and modification programs.
</p><p>This position is field‑based and located at a remote project site. The ideal candidate is interested in and comfortable working in remote environments for extended durations. Per diem and/or lodging will be provided in accordance with project requirements.

</b></h2><p>The Resident Engineer / Construction Manager will serve as WSP&rsquo;s primary on ‑ site representative and will lead construction activities on technically complex, high ‑ risk dam and heavy civil projects. This position includes direct supervision of inspector(s) and requires strong field leadership, decisiveness, and adaptability.
</p><ul><li>Act as WSP&rsquo;s primary on ‑ site representative, maintaining a confident and professional presence with the Owner, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders
</li><li>Lead construction management and inspection services on remote dam and heavy civil projects
</li><li>Provide direct supervision, direction, and mentorship to inspector(s) assigned to the project
</li><li>Ensure inspection staff perform work in accordance with contract documents, specifications, dam safety requirements, and WSP procedures
</li><li>Oversee contractor compliance with contract documents, specifications, dam safety requirements, and regulatory conditions
</li><li>Provide leadership and oversight for construction scopes including:

Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering and 3+ years of experience with aircraft, spacecraft, automotive, or launch vehicle structures or mechanisms.</li><li>
Experience on innovative projects such as recent aircraft, launch vehicles, automotive vehicles, or machine design in one or more of the following areas:</li><li>
o Mechanism development.</li><li>
o Vehicle load path distribution, and first order strength assessment and sizing.</li><li>
o Material selection, compatibility, and manufacturing techniques.</li><li>
Mechanical design experience using CAD (Creo/Windchill preferred), hand calculations, and FEA (ANSYS preferred) tools.</li><li>
Experience in analysis matters and generating margin of safety summaries.</li><li>
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance analysis (AMSE Y14.5).</li><li>
Familiarity with ASME Y14.100 and Y14.41.</li><li>

Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing processes for transition to production.</li><li>
Knowledge of systems engineering practices, fabrication and integration processes, and quality control.</li><li>
Experience working in a cross-functional team responsible for selecting materials, manufacturing processes, and developing the design to produce world-class engineered products.</li><li>
Familiar with diagnosing hardware issues and implementing effective repair solutions.</li><li>
