Job Overview:<div> 
Provides respiratory care in all patient care settings during the weekend, also includes duties of those of an RRT, with specialized knowledge and skills in the areas of Critical Care, Airway management, Advanced Life Support and Mechanical Ventilation of all ages. Performs all necessary documentation, updates work lists, and submits all charges by the end of the shift.

Requirements</h3><ul><li>
Active AL RN license or compact RN license &mdash; AL license required prior to start (candidates may be considered pending licensure with an ETA)</li><li>
Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required</li><li>
Minimum 18 months of Med/Surg nursing experience required</li><li>
At least 1 year of trauma/surgical experience required for the Trauma Surgical unit</li><li>
Core clinical skills required include IV starts, wound care, chest tube management, NGT, PEG tubes, trach care, foley care, ostomy care, central line care, and medication administration</li><li>
Chemo administration certification highly preferred for the Med/Surg Oncology unit</li><li>
Cerner EMR experience preferred</li><li>
Telemetry strip interpretation skills required</li><li>
Candidate must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position</li><li>

Additional Information</h3><ul><li>
Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center &mdash; 492-bed facility</li><li>
Orientation consists of 24 hours of classroom time and 24 hours of on-unit training for travelers new to the facility or those who have been away for 1+ year; orientation for returning travelers depends on the last date worked</li><li>
Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 6 months (from last shift worked to new start date) before being eligible to return as a traveler</li><li>
Holiday coverage is required for one major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy &mdash; scheduling for holidays is not guaranteed in either direction prior to arrival</li><li>
Blackout RTO periods apply throughout the year; requests during these windows require manager approval</li><li>
Scrub color: any color permitted</li><li>
Parking is available in the parking deck on levels 2 through 4 only</li><li>
