This role offers the best of both worlds: the autonomy of community-based nursing and the clinical challenge of caring for patients with acute, inpatient-level needs. You&rsquo;ll work with a supportive interdisciplinary team and participate in innovative care models designed to improve access, quality, and patient experience.<br>

Team members are asked to commit to a minimum of 4 shifts per month (8:00 AM &ndash; 8:30 PM), with two of those falling on a weekend day.

This position supports patients across the South/West Region, including Boston and its residential areas, as well as Framingham, Natick, Newton, Dedham, Quincy, Sharon, and nearby communities.<br>

The Patient Care Assistant II functions as a member of the patient care team, under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), and proficiently and consistently performs all aspects of the PCA role. The Patient Care Assistant II is responsible for supporting the RN with clinical tasks, including but not limited to blood glucose monitoring, completing EKGs, applying simple dressings, using aseptic technique and responding to medical emergency situations utilizing Heartsaver CPR and AED skills. In addition, the PCA II is responsible for responding to the needs of patients and family members and taking an active role in the efficient operation of the unit.
