 Jefferies is seeking an Equity Research Associate for its Energy Equity Research team which covers ~40 stocks. In this role, the associate will have the opportunity to analyze industry macro trends and company financials under the direction of senior members of the team. In particular, the associate will work closely with senior team members on Jefferies&rsquo; refining equity research coverage. The associate will be responsible for managing industry databases, updating presentations, and maintaining financial models as well as contributing to our flagship North American Energy Weekly report. 1. Incorporate variant effect prediction in statistical genetics to implicate rare variants and establish causality. Utilize genomic LLMs to enhance genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and polygenic risk scores (PRS), allowing these studies to focus on variants more likely to have an impact.<br>
2. Identify specific genetic effects and optimize genomic sequences. Apply AI models to differentiate between various mutation effects, including loss-of-function, gain-of-function and dominant-negative effects. Integrate data from deep mutational scans and single-cell RNA sequencing to identify mutation combinations that optimize genetic backgrounds for therapeutic purposes.<br>
3. Make AI suitable for the non-coding genome. Generalize our approaches, currently focused on protein sequences, towards LLMs that predict the effects of non-coding variants and their roles in diseases.</p>

The Offshore Wealth Manager Research team sits at the center of the business, driving strategy, business development, and client sales enablement with U.S.-based Wealth Management firms serving global investors. The team partners closely with Market Leaders, Sales Desk, Product, Portfolio Management, Marketing, Legal, and Operations to scale the Offshore Wealth platform across the Americas.</li><li>
This role is responsible for helping shape and execute the Offshore Wealth growth agenda, with a focus on expansion of investment solutions, platform and product due diligence, product selection, and model delivery. The role blends strategic thinking, investment expertise, and commercial execution, acting as a force multiplier for field sales and a key interface with internal product partners.</li><li>
This Manager Research role is a strategic pillar for Offshore Wealth&mdash;shaping what the business brings to market, how it is delivered on platforms, and how effectively it is positioned with advisors serving global clients. Success in this role directly impacts solution adoption, AUM growth, and the scalability of the Offshore Wealth franchise.</li></ul><p><b>
Primary Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Partner with Offshore Wealth leadership to define and execute business growth priorities across client firms.</li><li>
Lead platform due diligence, product reviews, and product selection processes with U.S. wealth platforms, private banks, and broker-dealers.</li><li>
Drive client business development, including managing client relationships, execute commercial plan.</li><li>
Work closely with Market Leaders and the Sales Desk to enable client conversations, including platform availability, portfolio construction frameworks, and competitive positioning.</li><li>
Serve as a subject-matter expert across the Offshore Wealth investment platform, including ETFs, mutual funds, SMAs, Private Markets.</li><li>
Develop an understanding of client needs and help identify opportunities where BlackRock&rsquo;s capabilities can deliver value.</li><li>
Manage recurring client deliverables and track business opportunities, team priorities, and progress against strategic goals.</li><li>
Build effective working relationships with internal partners (PMs, sales, product, marketing, legal/compliance, RFP).</li><li>
