As a Data Engineer on the Capacity Engineering team, you will help design, build, and operate the data foundation that drives capacity, cost, and power-related decisions across Apple&rsquo;s infrastructure footprint.

Pay &amp; Benefits 
 
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $302,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. 
 
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. AWS is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to become part of Mechanical Products and Services team, responsible for the design and continuous innovation within our rapidly expanding data center footprint. This position can be based out of Seattle, Washington or Herndon, Virginia. 
 
Our Mechanical Engineers take full ownership to design resilient, cost effective mechanical systems. As engineers at Amazon, we are responsible for achieving a world class uptime for our customers. We drive continuous advancements and improvements with our designs, and communicate technical direction to Sr. Management. <ul><li>Define and design liquid cooling equipment and related infrastructure.</li><li>Collaborate with internal and external ecosystem partners to design and develop new data center product solutions.</li><li>Support field engineering and data center operation teams for performing root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.</li><li>Leverage economy of scale through standardization and modularization of data center products.</li><li>Maintain and develop technical design procedures associated with piping and pipe support analysis activities.</li><li>Provide technical subject matter expertise to peers, senior management and partner teams.</li><li>Develop business justification and narratives to promote new concepts and ideas.</li><li>Lead key initiatives for the organization while demonstrating ownership.</li><li>Work with global suppliers and manufacturers to specify appropriate mechanical and associated sub components.</li><li>Provide product design support to other team members.</li><li>Writing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.</li><li>Ability and willingness to travel domestic and internationally for up to 25% of the year.</li></ul>
