The Senior Director, Procurement is responsible for leading the strategy, direction, and oversight of all purchasing functions across AITX, including Capital Car acquisitions, Repair Operations and Fleet Operations. This role provides executive leadership for teams responsible for shop-level materials purchasing, railcar and tank car procurement support, and contracting with third-party repair providers. The Senior Director ensures purchasing activities are aligned, efficient, cost-effective, compliant, and supportive of business needs across the organization, while maintaining strong supplier partnerships and consistent standards. This position directly oversees the Director of Purchasing and the purchasing organization supporting both Repair and Fleet Operations.
Job Duties<ul><li>
Provide leadership, structure, and oversight for all purchasing and procurement activities across Repair Operations and Fleet Operations</li><li>
Drive enterprise financial performance through driving net cost reductions, exploring alternative supply and inventory concepts, and driving improvements in working capital.</li><li>
Lead and support teams responsible for shop-level purchasing, materials management, supplier negotiations, and Fleet procurement activities</li><li>
Oversee vendor relationships, supplier selection, contract execution, and ongoing supplier performance management</li><li>
Lead negotiations for major supply agreements, third-party repair contracts, and railcar-related procurement support</li><li>
Establish and support supplier scorecard programs and key performance metrics to strengthen decision-making and performance accountability</li><li>
Oversee inventory management oversight strategies to balance operational support needs with working capital expectations</li><li>
Ensure purchasing processes, approvals, controls, and documentation standards are consistently applied across the organization</li><li>
Ensure compliance with company policies, purchasing ethics, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements</li><li>
Support ERP purchasing functionality, reporting, process improvements, and purchasing visibility across the organization, while supporting the roll-out of the next phase of ERP functionality</li><li>

Education and Experience<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required; advanced degree preferred or relevant procurement or supply chain certifications preferred</li><li>
10+ years of progressive purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain leadership experience</li><li>
Experience in rail, transportation, manufacturing, industrial services, or other heavy industry strongly preferred</li><li>

TIRC's Director of Communications is a managing attorney who oversees the investigation of torture claims by pro bono attorneys, law student volunteers, contractors, and legal organizations working for the Commission. Essential Functions</h2></div><div><ul><li>
Provides direct specialized legal services for the full range of Commission issues, with primary emphasis on directing agency communications with law firms, law schools, and legal organizations that provide pro bono, volunteer, and contractual work for the Commission.</li><li>
Directs the recruitment, contractual engagement, and retention of counsel who advise and represent claimants waiving their constitutional rights per 775 ILCS 40/40(b) and provides managerial oversight of claimant attorneys with whom the State contracts.</li><li>
Responsible for consulting with General Counsel and Executive Director to manage the agency interactions with media/press, members of the public, elected officials, and individuals including those attempting to file claims.</li><li>

About the Agency</h2></div><div>
The Illinois Torture Inquiry and Relief Commission is a state agency that was created by the Illinois Torture Inquiry and Relief Commission Act in 2009. The Act provides for an eight-member commission, chaired by a former judge. The Commission began receiving claims in April 2011, and continued accepting them until the statutory deadline of August 10, 2014. In 2016, the legislature re-opened the filing period through August 10, 2019. The Commission is authorized by statute to gather evidence about a claim of torture occurring in Cook County and then determine whether there is sufficient credible evidence of torture to merit judicial review. To evaluate a claim, the Commission's staff can serve subpoenas to compel the testimony of witnesses and the production of evidence, administer oaths, and use any measure provided for in Illinois civil and criminal codes of procedure. If a matter is referred to court, the Circuit Court will review the case pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Post-Conviction Hearing Act and the TIRC Act. Upon review, the Circuit Court may order an evidentiary hearing in order to determine whether relief (e.g., suppression of a claimant&rsquo;s statement or a new trial) is warranted.</div></div></div>

 What You'll Do
 
 
 
 The Senior Graphic Designer works under the direction of the Art Director, providing design and creative solutions for the marketing needs of our Sportswear business (apparel + footwear). The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for managing the complete graphic design process from initial concept to production, including motion and graphic design. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of work and experience in a variety of campaign and digital design disciplines.The successful candidate will be passionate about creating visually appealing and engaging designs that help us achieve our strategic goals.
 
 
 
 Specific Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

 Partners with Art/Creative Director, marketing teams, and internal designers, to develop campaigns and creative executions from concept to production.

 Concepts around high-level campaign strategy and builds visual centers for upcoming product launches.

 Designs across mediums including digital, social, D2C, marketing sell-in, activations/events, POP, packaging, and other specialty projects as assigned by the Art Director and Project Manager.

 Works with internal and external photographers on campaign and product photoshoots.

 Collaborates with copywriters on strategy, details, background, layouts and client direction for various projects.

 What We're Looking For
 
 
 
 This role requires an associate degree in graphics or a related area; bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred plus at least 5 years of in-house or agency graphic design experience and a strong portfolio of previous work.
