Strategic Planning & Stakeholder Engagement
 
Develop and maintain a multi-year Technology Procurement Roadmap aligned with IT strategy and business objectives.
 Partner with IT and business units to define requirements, assess usage, and forecast future needs.

About the Role
The Product Manager will be responsible for defining and executing a U.S. domestic content strategy for assigned products. This includes ensuring product architectures, sourcing strategies, and cost models support U.S. manufacturing, localization, and applicable domestic content requirements, while maintaining competitiveness, quality, and supply continuity.
Key Responsibilities
<ul><li>Define and maintain U.S. domestic content requirements within product specifications and business cases
</li></ul><ul><li>Develop/update business case in response to supplier or internal information
</li><li>Liaison with Sales across multiple regions to ensure strategic alignment and requirements validation
</li><li>Coordinate with engineering to ensure new product introduction/launch requirements fulfilled
</li><li>Interface with suppliers and Procurement to ensure sufficient volume is available post product launch to meet or exceed business case
</li><li>Communicate / update the business strategy for individual products throughout the product lifecycle as assigned
</li><li>Partner with Engineering, Procurement, and Supply Chain to evaluate U.S.-based sourcing, manufacturing, and localization trade-offs.
</li><li>Conduct sales training throughout the launch and remainder of product lifecycle.
</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible to establish the strategic and financial plan for their product
</li><li>Guide new product introduction &amp; launch and articulate how your product contributes to Fluence&rsquo;s business objectives across all regions.
</li><li>Accountable to develop clear product requirements to be executed by cross functional teams (engineering, procurement, supply chain etc.)
</li><li>Assess domestic content impacts on cost, margin, eligibility, and scalability throughout the product lifecycle
</li><li>Monitor supplier readiness and capacity to support U.S. production volumes and localization targets
</li></ul>Required Qualifications and Experiences
<ul><li>5+ years in product management (high growth industries strongly preferred) or 10+ years in engineering (batteries, BMS systems, or power generation strongly preferred) or supply chain/procurement
</li><li>Several years&rsquo; experience of Confluence, Jira, NetSuite, Salesforce, MS Project or similar toolsets.
</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent experience in STEM fields.
</li><li>Experience working with manufacturing localization, domestic sourcing strategies, or supply chain cost modelling for complex products
</li><li>Cyber-physical products or energy storage.
</li><li>Functional leadership in matrixed environments.

As Project Buyer IV (Electrical), you will oversee all aspects of procurement, from competitive bids to purchase order issuance. This role is vital to the success of the electrical program and our company as we execute a large portfolio of capital projects. Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Lead project sourcing for complex, long‑lead, high‑value electrical equipment and service contracts supporting a large capital expansion project.</li><li>
Assess and recommend early-market commitments to secure supplier capacity and meet project in‑service dates.</li><li>
Partner with SCM Business Partners, Category Managers, and Project Teams to develop materials and services sourcing strategies for highly technical requirements.</li><li>
Lead the full sourcing cycle including RFX development, proposal solicitation, bid evaluations, negotiation, and contract execution.</li><li>
Facilitate technical and commercial clarifications between suppliers and internal stakeholders.</li><li>
Contribute to the development of risk‑mitigation strategies and ensure they are incorporated into procurement planning and execution.</li><li>
Plan, track, forecast, and communicate SCM activity updates for stakeholders.</li><li>
Collaborate with SCM Governance, Quality, Legal, and Expediting teams to ensure deliverables, quality standards, and timelines are met.</li><li>
Ensure full compliance with SCM policies, enterprise governance requirements, and contractual processes.</li><li>
Monitor supplier performance and relationship management with minimal supervision.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
Required:<ul><li>
University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (a combination of education and experience will be considered).</li><li>
Minimum 7 years of related procurement or Supply Chain Management experience.</li><li>
Proven experience procuring complex electrical equipment for large energy or capital projects.</li><li>
Demonstrated expertise in reviewing, marking up, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills with persuasive and influencing capabilities.</li><li>
Ability to explain deviations to standard T&amp;Cs and develop alternative commercial positions.</li><li>
In‑depth knowledge of RFX development, contract preparation, and contract management.</li><li>
Experience managing supplier relationships and performance independently.</li><li>
Proficiency with ERP systems for PO creation&mdash;Oracle R12 or Oracle Cloud preferred.</li></ul>
Preferred:<ul><li>
10+ years of procurement experience in the power, electrical transmission, liquids, or natural gas energy industry.</li><li>
Postgraduate qualification or MBA.</li><li>
Supply chain certifications such as SCMP, CPSM, or equivalent.</li><li>
Experience with operational or design aspects of electrical systems, power equipment, or capital projects.</li></ul>
