The CAO organization comprises more than 800 technical and administrative staff working in a variety of areas, including information technology, finance, budget management, human resources, payroll, childcare, food and vending, procurement, logistics and administrative counsel.</p>
<p>This paid internship* is located in the Logistics, Design and Special Projects, Logistics &amp; Support, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, U.S. House of Representatives. The purpose of Logistics and Support is to provide important logistical services to the entire House community. The purpose of the Logistics, Design and Special Projects Directorate is to provide important logistical services to the entire House community, including building, repairing, moving, setting up, and breaking down furniture; facilitating office moves; and managing all accountable equipment assets within the House. This intern will have the opportunity to view the inner workings of the U.S. House of Representatives and learn about its operations.

<p>Primary Duties/Responsibilities:</p>
<ul><li>Gain hands-on experience across Logistics, Design, and Special Projects within Facilities Operations.</li>
<li>Support logistics activities, including furnishings movement, office renovations, office relocations, and stakeholder coordination.</li>
<li>Assist with furniture design consultations and interior design support initiatives.</li>
<li>Provide support for facility-related projects and basic project management tasks.</li>
<li>Participate in logistics, design, and special project initiatives as assigned.</li>

<p>Established in January 2022, the CAO&rsquo;s House Digital Service (HDS) helps solve the unique technology challenges experienced by Member, Committee, and Leadership offices in Congress. From application design and development to data analysis and identifying the latest technological solutions, HDS's mission is to make sure the People&rsquo;s House is working efficiently for the American people.</p>
<p>HDS interns will assist the small and agile HDS team in their work, including research, design, implementation, coding, and testing of various technology solutions for congressional offices.
