POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Restaurant Host is responsible for delivering excellence in guest service by developing relationships with guests, providing personalized service, anticipating, and delivering guests’ needs. The Host comprehends the restaurant operation and seats our guests with a friendly demeanor keeping their expectations and the needs of the operation in mind.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
<ul>
<li>Consistent maintenance and refinement of service standards. Ensures compliance with all hotel standards and local laws.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation awareness standards. Prepare daily for health department and Ecosure inspections.</li>
<li>Perform all necessary tasks for a host according to the standard operating procedure of the hotel including but not limited to answering phone, managing reservations and table assignments, greeting guest, seating guests, explaining restaurant concepts.</li>
<li>Maintain knowledge of hotel offerings and local surroundings, i.e., nearby entertainment, theaters, etc.</li>
<li>Contribute to the restaurant sanitation operation and timing of service out of the kitchen and to the table. Ensures prompt delivery and quality control from point of departure to arrival.</li>
<li>guest environment to reduce the risk of injury or accident.</li>
<li>Attend all required department trainings and meetings.</li>
<li>Perform any other duties required by leadership.</li>

QUALIFICATIONS: 
<ul>
<li>Candidate must have hands-on food and beverage knowledge and a comprehensive, working knowledge of the hospitality business.</li>
<li>A minimum of relevant host experience in a fine dining restaurant is strongly preferred. Good verbal and written skills.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Micros preferred</li>
<li>Ability to always maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure.</li>
<li>Proven ability to engage guests at all levels. Must be passionate about providing warm, engaging, and personalized service.</li>
<li>Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.</li>
<li>Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.</li>
<li>Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.</li>
<li>Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.</li>
<li>Serve Safe certified | Unexpired TIPs required.</li>

<ul><li>Provide a range of administrative support to project, corporate and administrative services teams including creating and maintaining spreadsheets and databases, proofreading documents, submission and retrieval of in-house and off-site documents.
</li><li>Assist Consulting Staff and Executive Assistants with expense reports, file management, client bills, meeting set ups, travel arrangements, PowerPoint presentations, and document organization.
</li><li>Ensure overall orderliness and cleanliness of the office including reception, conference rooms, kitchens, restrooms, and other common areas.
</li><li>Provide full coverage support to the Receptionist, including front desk duties, during their absence.
</li><li>Assists with catering and set up for staff meetings and special events.
</li><li>Assist with preparation of mailings (e.g., marketing mailings, holiday cards, recruiting packets).
</li></ul>Cornerstone Research is offering a competitive market base salary for this position. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in all eligible locations. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Cornerstone Research, we believe compensation is more than just a base salary. We offer a competitive total compensation package that includes an annual performance bonus and comprehensive benefits such as flexible options for healthcare, paid time off, and retirement savings. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
Boston: $44,900 - $57,500
