Key responsibilities of this position may include:

For positions in Boston, MA, the salary range for this position is: $53,200.00 - $85,150.00.

This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on research experience in partnership with healthcare providers, student-athletes, and researchers. Understanding when a student-athlete is ready to return to play after concussion is an important decision, because of the risk of repeat injury and prolonged recovery that may result from premature return to play. Dr. O'Neil was awarded a grant to determine if a new dynamic, exertion test helps healthcare providers with return to play decision making after concussion. The Clinical Assessment of Sports and Physical Exertion (CASE) is a sub-maximal exercise test that assesses a student-athlete's ability to handle dynamic and multidirectional movements after concussion. As a Clinical Research Coordinator, you will be working directly with healthcare providers at a local high school to administer the CASE to student-athletes recovering from concussion. You will also play a key role in participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, and informed consent; scheduling and coordinating study visits; data collection; regulatory and IRB-related activities; and participant remuneration. 
 
**As part of this role, the incumbent will regularly travel to a local high school in the greater Boston area to support study-related activities. Candidates must have reliable access to transportation that enables timely and consistent travel to and from the work site.** 
 
Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.; and maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Job Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Coordinate and participate in fundraising meetings and portfolio updates with general partners. Participate in manager assessment process and write summary analyses of each meeting for distribution within the firm.
</li><li>Work with IDs to diligence and underwrite investments in venture capital and growth equity firms. Due diligence responsibilities include attending and participating in on-site meetings; analyzing a manager&rsquo;s organization, investment strategy, investment performance, and fund legal terms; conducting reference calls with portfolio company CEOs and senior-level professionals; and preparing materials for committee meetings.
</li><li>Serve as a resource to client-facing IDs and IAs seeking current information on venture capital opportunities, including data and analysis, comparison to other fund managers, and the opinion of the research team.
</li><li>Monitor market trends related to fundraising and investment activity and contribute to periodic market updates that are accessed by IDs, IAs, and clients.
</li><li>Prepare materials for and participate in monthly firm-wide meetings in which the global private investments team discusses recent manager meetings and current investment opportunities of interest with client-facing investment directors.
</li><li>Represent Cambridge Associates at annual manager meetings.
</li></ul>Qualifications:
<ul><li>Received or expected BA/BS in any discipline (minimum GPA of 3.3)
</li><li>Demonstrated interest in venture capital and growth equity asset classes and understanding of its role in a diversified institutional portfolio
</li><li>Boston or San Francisco office
</li><li>Strong writing ability and oral communication skills
</li><li>Strong analytical and quantitative skills
</li><li>Ability and willingness to engage in conversation with managers and references
