Responds timely to customers' needs by answering phone calls, receiving and distributing messages, and triaging requests appropriately.</li><li>
Understands and implements appropriate time management and prioritization of tasks ensuring timely and safe patient care.</li><li>
Assists with operational support functions, including minor housekeeping activities and department cleaning/disinfecting/decontaminating standards to maintain the work area.</li><li>
Conducts regular quality assurance inspections focused on TJC requirements, including the examination of product integrity and expiration.</li><li>
Maintains competency and follows departmental, OSHA, USP, and EPA guidelines to safely and accurately handle, prepare, distribute, and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous prod.</li><li>
Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.</li><li>
Completes all required training and competency assessments in a timely fashion.</li><li>
Attends educational in-services as appropriate.</li><li>
Assists in the orientation and training of new personnel.</li><li>
May serve as a resource for less experienced staff, providing technical information and guidance in pharmacy techniques and policies to ensure the delivery of efficient, quality service.</li><li>
May perform other duties as assigned or requested .</li></ul><div>
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</div><ul><li>
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.</li><li>
Successful completion of an ASHP accredited technician training program or enrollment in a professional-related school preferred.</li><li>
6 months experience as Pharmacy Technician or completion of ASHP-accredited tech training program preferred.</li><li>
Current CPhT certification through either PTCB or NHA and active Georgia Pharmacy Technician registration, or current enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy with a current Georgia Pharmacy Intern license.</li><li>
Must maintain certification and registration through entire length of employment.</li></ul><div>
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (Medium-Heavy) 36-75 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 20-35 lbs, 34-66% of the workday; (frequently); 10-20 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 75 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 35 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing &amp; walking; Occasional sitting; Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing); Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
