Thought Industries is seeking a Senior Accountant. Playing a vital part in the Finance department, this individual will maintain financial oversight, facilitate the optimization of the monthly close cycle, and manage various operational workflows. This position is remote but preferably situated in Eastern or Central time zone and will report to the Corporate Controller. 
Job Description 
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Support month-end close process while meeting close deadlines. Responsibilities include but not limited to preparing month-end journal entries with supporting schedules</li><li>
Prepare monthly / quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations</li><li>
Responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including billing and collections, vendor management and payments, review and payment of employee expense reports</li><li>
Monitor daily bank activity and record transactions in GL system</li><li>
Monitor and approve corporate credit card transactions through Bill.com</li><li>
Prepare monthly state sales tax reports and remittance of sales tax</li><li>
Pinpoint and execute strategies to enhance procedural efficiency</li><li>
Perform other responsibilities as assigned</li></ul> 
Qualifications 
Desired Skills and Experience<ul><li>
Degree in Accounting or Finance</li><li>
2-3 years of progressive accounting experience</li><li>
Knowledge of US GAAP</li><li>
Proficiency in G-Suite for Business, Microsoft Word and Excel</li><li>
Experience in QuickBooks, Sage Intacct and Bill.com a plus</li><li>
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, interpersonal and communication skills</li></ul><ul><li>
Demonstrated proficiency in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously within tight timeframes</li><li>
Adept at utilizing Agentic AI applications</li><li>
