Who We Are:
Children&rsquo;s National has become a destination for families around the country for diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders and congenital heart diseases. In addition to our electrophysiology physicians, our team includes specially trained pediatric arrhythmia nurses.
Collaboration among our heart specialists is central to what we do. We work with other departments and clinics throughout the Heart and Lung Center to ensure our patients receive the most comprehensive, specialized care possible.
About the Role:
The Clinical Program Coordinator will successfully complete the hospital and nursing orientation at CNMC. Will coordinate nursing care and services for patients and family members in specific healthcare specialty encounters by telephonic, electronic, in person, and/or by mail. Will consult with physicians, and other healthcare providers to resolve health concerns. 
 
All nursing practice is based on the legal scope of practice, national and specialty nursing standards, CNMC Policies and Procedures, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Professional Model of Care requires registered professional nurses to be responsible and accountable for their own practice. CNMC support the development of RN relationships within the community, specifically those relationships associated with the health and wellbeing of the community at large. Responsible to lead the activities of the patient care delivery team for specific patient population. Provide continuous accountability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate clinical care and ensure that continuity of care is maintained.

The Opportunity

As a One Medical Phlebotomist/Front Desk (internally known as Lab Services Specialist/Member Support Specialist) team member at one of our offices you'll provide an exceptional experience for our patients and help them accomplish an important part of their care journey by providing venipuncture as well as other clinical support services. What you'll likely work on:

<li>Use impeccable C-I-CARE (a framework containing the key elements of a great interaction and effective communication that we use with patients and each other) in all patient interactions, both clinical and administrative, and ensure a fluid and positive in-office experience through patient intake, same day schedule management, appropriate follow up scheduling, strong knowledge of billing and insurance, monitoring patient feedback and assisting with outreach as necessary</li>
<li>Provide best in class venipuncture services on a population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, depending on the office location</li>
<li>Perform and assist with extended scope duties such as, but not limited to non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs</li>
<li>Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization</li>
<li>Continue to care for our members beyond the lab room by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases and assisting our providers and virtual medical team with clerical duties such as, but not limited to biometric screening forms, medical record and consult review, billing inquiries, and DOH reporting</li>

Competitive salary: the range for this role is $22.75 to $24.75 per hour based on a standard full-time schedule.
