Key Duties &amp; Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY</b></p><br>

American Rivers is seeking a collaborative, analytically strong, and business-oriented Senior Financial Analyst, FP&amp;A &amp; Treasury, to support organizational budgeting, forecasting, treasury analysis, financial reporting, and strategic planning. Reporting to the Director, Finance &amp; Accounting, this position serves as a key member of the Finance &amp; Accounting team, helping transform financial and operational data into actionable insights that support organizational decision-making and long-term financial sustainability.</p><p></p><p><br>
The Senior Financial Analyst will maintain treasury analyses and cash flow forecasts, support budgeting and forecasting processes, develop financial models and dashboards, and assist in improving reporting and analytical capabilities across the organization. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and quantitative skills with business acumen, systems proficiency, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.</p><p></p><p><br>
Must have hands-on experience managing and analyzing financial allocations across multiple funding sources or departments.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p>
<p><b>
Treasury Analysis &amp; Cash Forecasting</b></p>

<li>Prepare and maintain short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts.</li>
<li>Develop liquidity analyses and treasury-related reporting schedules.</li>
<li>Analyze cash trends, working capital requirements, and organizational liquidity needs.</li>
<li>Prepare treasury analyses supporting cash management and financial planning activities.</li>
<li>Assist with the development of treasury reporting tools, dashboards, and forecasting models.</li>

<p><b>Budgeting, Forecasting &amp; Financial Planning</b></p>

<li>Support the development and coordination of the annual organizational budgeting process.</li>
<li>Support the preparation of periodic forecasts and financial planning updates.</li>
<li>Support the budget-to-actual analyses and provide clear explanations of key financial and operational variances.</li>
<li>Analyze trends related to personnel costs, organizational spending, revenue activity, and operational performance.</li>
<li>Assist department leaders in understanding budget performance and financial trends.</li>

<p><b>Management Reporting &amp; Organizational Analytics</b></p>

<li>Assist in the preparation of recurring management reports, dashboards, and reporting tools for leadership and departmental stakeholders.</li>
<li>Develop, maintain, and analyze key performance indicators and financial metrics.</li>
<li>Analyze operational and financial trends to support strategic and operational decision-making.</li>
<li>Assist in evaluating organizational performance and resource utilization.</li>
<li>Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting activities.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Reporting Systems &amp; Process Improvement</b></p>

<li>Serve as a finance power user for Solver and related reporting tools.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, analytical models, and reporting packages.</li>
<li>Participate in finance systems testing, implementation, and enhancement projects.</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to improve reporting workflows, analytical processes, and data accessibility.</li>
<li>Support reporting automation and process improvement initiatives.</li>
</ul>
<p> <b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.</li>
<li>4+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&amp;A, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, business analytics, or operational finance.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience performing variance analysis and financial modeling.</li>
<li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data analysis functions, and financial modeling techniques.</li>
<li>Experience working with ERP systems, reporting tools, and financial planning applications.</li>
<li>Experience working with systems such as Sage Intacct, Solver, Power BI, Tableau, Monday.com, or similar platforms.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p>

COMPENSATION</b><br>
American Rivers offers marketable compensation that reflects the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. The salary for this position is $86,000-$106,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
