APPs continue to advance the mission of MGBCI by standing together as one team against cancer. APPs care for patients at all phases of their cancer journey and in many settings. They remain critical partners in ensuring access to care and support at all levels of need. APPs care for patients in ambulatory and inpatient settings. As core members of the multidisciplinary team for decades, the APP teams are key in supporting access, care delivery, and innovation associated with growth across our expanding programs and new spaces.<br>

Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), located in Boston, MA currently has an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our cutting-edge Inpatient Oncology team, caring for inpatients with solid tumors or hematologic malignancies.
<br>
<br>
Join a dynamic inpatient oncology team. Work within one of our two subspecialty groups with APPs that specialize in either 1) solid tumor, caring for an oncology patient population who are admitted for medical complications, new diagnoses, and treatment-related side effects, or 2) hematologic malignancies, caring for patients receiving bone marrow transplant and cellular therapies. This role offers the perfect blend of autonomy and collaboration. You&rsquo;ll work closely with oncologists and an interdisciplinary team to deliver cutting-edge care on either our solid tumor or hematologic malignancy service. Our APPs have the opportunity to be on the forefront of cancer care, collaborating with research teams to care for patients receiving first-in-human therapies as well as standard of care.

Key Responsibilities<br>
<ul><li>Provide comprehensive care for oncology patients from admission to discharge in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.</li><li>Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds and collaboratively develop and implement care plans.</li><li>Coordinate tests, consultations, and communicate with referring clinicians and consult services.</li><li>Perform patient education and prepare patients for discharge.</li><li>Support research initiatives and care for patients receiving first-in-human therapies as well as standard of care.</li></ul><br>

Inpatient Operations Pharmacists contribute to both operational and clinical pharmacy services at Massachusetts General Hospital. Pharmacists ensure daily distribution, repackaging, compounding, and perioperative operations are carried out effectively, and provide final product verification for medications. Staff provide clinical support to several onsite clinics, as well as Home Hospital patient populations. Team members contribute to department and enterprise-wide goals via quality improvement initiatives, medication safety workgroups, staff-led projects, and more. This is a full-time, on-site position rotating between morning and evening shifts, including a weekend staffing component.<br>

The MGH Department of Pharmacy is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our Medication History/Transitions of Care team. This position will be focused on transitions of care, starting with admission medication histories, reconciliation, and supporting the continuum of care for patients from admission to discharge. The Clinical Pharmacist will supervise pharmacy technicians/students/residents participating in the daily conduct of this pharmacy program.

Clinical Pharmacists assume responsibility and accountability for the provision of safe, effective, and prompt medication therapy. Clinical Pharmacists proficiently provide direct patient-centered care and integrated pharmacy operational services with physicians, nurses, and other hospital personnel to deliver optimal medication therapy to patients with a broad range of disease states. These clinicians are aligned with target interdisciplinary programs and specialty services to deliver medication therapy management and to ensure pharmaceutical care programs are appropriately integrated throughout the institution. Pharmaceutical care services include, but are not limited to, assessing patient needs, incorporating age and disease specific characteristics into drug therapy and patient education, adjusting care according to patient response, and providing clinical interventions to detect, mitigate, and prevent medication adverse events. Clinical Pharmacists serve as a departmental resources and liaisons to other departments, hospital personnel, or external groups. They proficiently manage the appropriate use of medications according to professional and regulatory standards. They also conduct practice-related research and patient care, quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives designed to improve medication-use processes or pharmacy practice.
