Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is looking for a highly-motivated attorney who is passionate about public service to join her office as an Assistant Attorney General in the Privacy and Responsible Technology Division (PRTD). The Division, which is part of the Attorney General&rsquo;s Public Protection and Advocacy Bureau, investigates and litigates cutting-edge issues in emerging technology. The Division works to address unfair or deceptive use of consumer data, to maintain data security and privacy, and to address technologies that can manipulate consumers, including minors.</p><p></p><p><br>
Primary Duties: Independently, and as part of a team, take part in litigation and investigations surrounding data security, data privacy, and online or digital abuses. Advance case progress, through depositions, motion practice, and document productions. Duties also include learning new industries and technologies, investigating and identifying practices that may violate the law, collaborating with other state and federal enforcement entities, and negotiating resolutions that serve the public interest. There are also opportunities to assist in educational and policy work to protect privacy interests and prevent the unfair and deceptive use of technology.</p><p></p><p><br>
Position Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt.</p><p>
Our current hybrid model includes some remote workdays for most positions.</p><p></p><p><br>

 General Summary<br>

The goal of Suneet Agarwal&rsquo;s team at BCH is to understand and treat fatal genetic blood disorders. We study these diseases by &ldquo;turning back the clock&rdquo; &ndash; using new technology in stem cell biology to take cells from our patients and return them to an embryonic-like state, wherein they regain the ability to form any type of cell in the body. The knowledge gained through our work is providing new insights into disease mechanisms and innovative treatment strategies for our patients, including novel small molecules, RNA therapeutics, and genome-editing approaches. The genetic blood diseases we study are the tip of the iceberg for several other telomere biology diseases and mitochondrial disorders of children and adults, and therefore we expect our work to provide answers for a broader number of people with fatal diseases.<br>
