Responsibilities

Skyline - Medication Technician (Med-Tech)
to join our team!
The pay for this role is $27 per hour

Our Medication Technician/Aide:
<ul><li>Prepares and passes medication for residents as ordered by a physician, reporting any medication errors, side effects or problems to supervisor or physician.
</li><li>Documents administration or refusal of medication in required format and style.
</li><li>Maintains documentation and communication log in accordance with required procedures, using electronic system when appropriate.
</li><li>Reorders meds as needed, following appropriate protocols.
</li><li>Following medication policies and procedures is responsible for the delivery, ordering, re-ordering, storage, documentation and destruction of medications.
</li><li>Insures that medication is available when needed through on time refills. Orders labs as necessary.
</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.
</li></ul>What you need to succeed:
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.
</li><li>Must be a WA State Certified Nursing Assistant
</li><li>Working experience with computerized Point of Care and other systems.
</li><li>6 months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred.
</li><li>Successful completion of Med Tech Training program and Medication Aide/Medication Tech certification in state, as required.
</li><li>Minimum of six months experience in long term care, home care, or a related field.
</li><li>Ability to speak, read, write and understand English language.
</li><li>Current CPR/First Aid certification.
</li><li>Successful completion of background check, drug screen, and other pre-employment testing as required by state (may include fingerprinting and/or pre-employment physical).</li></ul></div>
