</li><li>Records patient intake and output.
</li><li>Assists RN/LPN in providing patient care according to individual needs by assisting with range of motion, ambulation, patient transfers, diet, elimination and hygiene.
</li><li>Observes and reports significant or unusual information about the patient and environment to the RN/LPN and documents appropriately and in a timely manner.
</li><li>Transports patients and patient specimens throughout the hospital as needed.
</li><li>Contributes to the completion of patient admission, transfer, and discharge.
</li><li>Assists with postmortem care.
</li><li>Utilizes appropriate technology to complete all related processes.
</li><li>Participates in unit-based and system-wide Performance Improvement program as required by department leadership.
</li><li>Serves as a resource/model through compliance with standards of care and with Department of Nursing and Hospital policies and procedures.
</li><li>May participate in research projects impacting patient care areas.
</li><li>Participates in the orientation of nursing support assistants to the unit.</li><li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
</b></div><ul><li>A high school diploma or equivalent.
</li><li>BLS required.
</li><li>Must meet one of the following requirements:
<ul><li>One year of direct patient care experience,
</li><li>Successful completion of a nursing assistant training course</li><li>
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license through State of Georgia, OR
</li><li>Current enrollment in a nursing program and completion of 2 clinical rotations.
