About the Role</h3>
As a Physician Assistant (PA), you will provide a broad range of clinical services to patients of all ages. You&rsquo;ll treat acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections. You&rsquo;ll work independently or alongside a physician, using your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, while recognizing when to escalate care to emergency services.<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Essential Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>
Conduct physical exams and review patient medical histories</li><li>
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging</li><li>
Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications</li><li>
Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting</li><li>
Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR</li><li>
Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention</li><li>
Administer vaccinations and refer patients to specialists as needed</li><li>
Work scheduled shifts of hours as assigned</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Minimum Qualifications</h3><ul><li>
Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a licensed NP or PA in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting (required)</li><li>
Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (required)</li><li>
Comfortable performing minor procedures including suturing, casting, and splinting (required)</li><li>
Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays (required)</li></ul>
Physician Assistants:<ul><li>
Master&rsquo;s degree from an accredited PA program (required)</li><li>
NCCPA Certification (required)</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Required Skills &amp; Abilities</h3><ul><li>
Proficiency in urgent care procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting)</li><li>
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills</li><li>
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>
Attentive listening and patient engagement</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Preferred Qualifications</h3><ul><li>
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems</li><li>
Multilingual communication skills</li><li>
Familiarity with telemedicine platforms</li><li>
Basic understanding of medical billing and coding</li></ul>
