Join our Communications and External Affairs Team as a Graphic Designer and help turn data-heavy reports, presentations, and public-facing materials into visuals that policymakers, stakeholders, and the public can quickly understand and use.
At the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA), we are stewards of Massachusetts health data, using multifaceted datasets and advanced analytics to support transparency in the health care system. As the Graphic Designer, you will help create polished reports, presentations, digital content, and other materials that make CHIA&rsquo;s work visually engaging and easy to navigate. Reporting to the Art Director, you will coordinate multiple deliverables, support project tracking and timelines, apply robust design judgment, and work closely with colleagues. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented designer who can balance independent ownership with thoughtful collaboration.
The Graphic Designer will support a range of external- and internal-facing materials, including:<ul><li>
Reports and publications: Design and layout polished reports, briefs, executive summaries, presentations, templates, and related communications materials using Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as Microsoft Office tools such as Word and PowerPoint.</li><li>
Data visualizations: Develop charts, infographics, icons, and illustrations, including conceptual ways to represent abstract ideas, that make technical information easier to understand while preserving accuracy, context, and nuance.</li><li>
Social media and animations: Create engaging social media graphics and simple animations that highlight key findings.</li><li>
Templates and brand standards: Build and maintain templates, style guides, and reusable visual assets that support consistent communications across recurring publications and projects.</li></ul>
Duties include:<ul><li>
Coordinate with communications, research, policy, and data colleagues to translate complex health care analysis into clear visual narratives.</li><li>
Prepare accurate, accessible, on-brand materials for digital publication, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines.</li><li>
Proofread and review final materials for formatting, alignment, consistency, and overall production quality.</li><li>
Coordinate feedback from multiple reviewers and revise designs efficiently while meeting deadlines.</li></ul>
Here are the important qualifications we are looking for:<ul><li>
Educational foundation: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Digital Media, Data Visualization, or a related field.</li><li>
Professional experience: Minimum of 2 or more years of professional graphic design experience, preferably creating reports, data visualizations, digital materials, presentations, or other public-facing communications.</li><li>
Design skills: Ability to interpret briefs, develop concepts, respond to feedback, and transform complex information into accurate, engaging visual designs, illustrations, and icons.</li><li>
Conceptual thinking: Curiosity, sound design judgment, and the ability to develop thoughtful visual solutions that make complex information clear and engaging.</li><li>

Total Compensation:
We value the talent and expertise you bring to the table. The salary range for this position is expected to be $66,890.20 - $86,000. The final offer will be based on the candidate&rsquo;s skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as applicable Commonwealth guidelines. CHIA may adjust title, responsibilities, and salary depending on the experience and expertise of the individual selected.

The Buildings Division provides design services to both public agencies and private corporations. Current projects include public transit, convention centers, and transportation maintenance facilities; municipal buildings such as public work facilities; and light commercial / retail. Other potential projects include correctional facilities, law enforcement, public health, and both K-12 and higher education buildings.

Berxi (Berxi.com) is a fast-growing e-commerce start-up within Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance. We set out to build a modern, customer-focused, digital platform to help professionals and small businesses buy and manage insurance smarter and faster &ndash; all of which saves them time and money. BHSI has an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Web Production Manager at Berxi who can both execute and improve our client-facing Wordpress experience, Berxi.com, which drives the majority of our business. This is an execution-focused role for someone who can build, troubleshoot, and optimize pages directly. You&rsquo;re not expected to be a developer, but you are expected to handle simple CMS fixes and partner with our web development agency to scope more complex needs.
You will own page production and performance across the marketing website, translating strategy into high-quality, conversion-oriented experiences throughout the customer journey. You&rsquo;ll work within an established system but are expected to challenge it by identifying UX, layout, and performance gaps and implementing improvements.
You&rsquo;ll join a small, highly collaborative marketing web team that spans content, SEO, AEO, operations, and design. Because of our size, we rely on people who can work across disciplines, move quickly, identify opportunities that improve how we operate, and implement solutions without relying heavily on engineering support. 
Responsibilities:
Execute and optimize marketing page experiences<div><ul><li>
Build 5-8+ pages per month using WordPress (Gutenberg with a custom theme), working collaboratively with SMEs to execute and influence designs</li><li>
Implement SEO, UX, and conversion best practices directly in-page</li><li>
Execute QA across devices, browsers, and breakpoints</li></ul></div>
Own marketing site performance and improvement<div><ul><li>
Analyze engagement and conversion signals (scroll, clicks, drop-off, quote starts)</li><li>
Identify and fix issues related to layout, hierarchy, CTAs, and page structure, balancing UX, SEO, and conversion goals</li><li>
Drive measurable improvements in conversion and engagement metrics</li></ul></div>
Manage technical site health<div><ul><li>
Partner with web agency but own day-to-day site performance</li><li>

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Required<div><ul><li>
3-5 years&rsquo; experience in hands-on web execution roles (web ops, CMS management, digital experience)</li><li>
Strong experience building pages in WordPress or similar CMS</li><li>
Practical ability to troubleshoot and fix simple front-end issues using HTML/CSS</li><li>
Demonstrable understanding of UX and content hierarchy, responsive behavior, and accessibility basics</li><li>
Experience using analytics (GA4 or similar) to identify and act on performance issues</li><li>
Strong understanding of diagnostic web metrics and Core Web Vitals (CLS, LCP, INP, TTFB) and how they impact UX, SEO, and AI-driven discovery</li><li>
Working knowledge of SEO/AEO execution:<ul><li>

The base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000, along with annual bonus eligibility. Summary
Lead Solutions Design Engineers are responsible to support the growth of our Supply Chain Solutions &amp; Dedicated Transportation Solution offerings by developing, designing and winning new business through:
Designing solutions that deliver financial value to our Customers
