</h1>Aurelian automates non-emergency calls for 9-1-1 centers. We do this through an AI-powered operator that routes, triages, and resolves calls without the need for human intervention. Nationwide, the average emergency communications center (ECC) is 30% understaffed. Staffing shortages have lead to call-taker burnout and attrition, which is exacerbating the problem even more. But what&rsquo;s most shocking is 60-80% of the calls 9-1-1 operators take aren&rsquo;t even emergencies. REST exists to expand pathways to freedom, safety and hope in order to end sex trafficking. REST offers programs that are centered on the strengths, needs, and individual choices of each survivor we serve. We offer a continuum of care that includes outreach, a 24/7 hotline, community advocates, emergency shelter, and housing services. We are inspired by our faith as a Christian organization, are dedicated to serving people of all faith backgrounds, and do not require faith engagement. ROLE SUMMARY
The Emergency Services Weekend Support Staﬀ position is a part of the Emergency Services team, who are responsible for coverage in the REST&rsquo;s Emergency Receiving Center (ERC) and 24/7 hotline. The ERC is a short-term emergency shelter for adult women who have experienced sex traﬀicking or the sex trade. Guests can stay at the shelter in individual rooms for an initial 30 days, with the option for ongoing extensions of 30 days depending on individual self-identified needs and engagement in services. Guests of the ERC receive stabilizing support like crisis intervention, referrals for on-site medical, mental health, and substance use treatment, and support groups. REST&rsquo;s 24/7 hotline responds to calls from survivors, providing resources, information, and emotional support. Support Staﬀ are often the first point of contact clients make when accessing shelter and hotline services with REST, and play a critical role in ensuring services are running smoothly. Central to this position is the ability to develop trusting relationships while maintaining policies and procedures to ensure safe and eﬀective programming. All members of the Emergency Services team work cohesively to support the individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of guests.

Weekend hours of Saturday and Sunday 6am-2pm. This position works in a 24/7 shelter, and some holiday and outside hours are required. Staﬀ are able to work additional shifts when other staﬀ are on vacation, sick, or there are time gaps to fill.
COMPENSATION
The compensation amount for this position is up to $27.30 an hour.

REST&rsquo;s oﬀice is located in South Seattle.

Job Summary</div><div>
You will provide culturally competent, and strength-based peer support to youth, young adults, and families experiencing a behavioral or mental health crisis. Working alongside a Mental Health Care Professional, this position will utilize de-escalation techniques to stabilize the situation; assist in developing a Safety and Action Plan to address priority needs; and, where appropriate, transport individuals to care facilities or alternative placement in the community. Services are provided in client homes or safe community locations (hospital, overnight shelter, transitional housing). You will collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, outside professionals, and others involved in delivering the individual or family&rsquo;s care to meet safety plan needs and action plan goals. As part of a connected, 24/7 regional crisis program, you support care coordination by passing down outreach details and outcomes to our day teams.</div><div> 
This position is with the Y Social Impact Center, the social services division of the YMCA of Greater Seattle (YGS), serving around 5,000 youth, young adults, and families every year in communities across King County, Pierce County, and various counties across WA. Through our programs we aim to strengthen young people&rsquo;s ability to develop to their fullest potential through four strategies: reducing risk factors; navigating systems towards successful life transition; establishing stability, safety and wellness in times of crisis; and building competencies and social capital. The Social Impact Center&rsquo;s programs include homelessness prevention, housing, behavioral health, crisis response, foster care licensing, violence prevention, and employment. Since many of the young people we serve have been involved in the foster care, criminal justice, behavioral health, and/or homelessness systems, we truly value relatable lived experience of our staff and those applying for our positions as an asset.</div><div></div><div> 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 
This is a full-time, overnight position in which staff are dispatched from their homes to various locations in the community. Dispatches arrive through a phone app, so staff need to be able to hear notifications, wake up, and respond in a timely manner with their shift partner. All crisis work is to be done in-person unless the individual/family explicitly requests a telehealth response.</div><div> 
After Hours teams are scheduled to provide on-call support every night (weekdays and weekends), including holidays. The hours of work are typically from 6/7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. the following morning. Flexibility is required with some weekend daytime work required as job duties demand.</div><div> 
This position is part of our CCORS (Children's Crisis Outreach and Response System) Program Regional Expansion.
