 Phase 2: Mechanical Power Plant Technician (Post-Transition)
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:

 Maintain and repair mechanical systems within the power plant, including engines, turbines, pumps, and piping systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor mechanical performance and support root cause analysis of failures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain records of maintenance activities and support continuous improvement.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform plant operation activities including isolating equipment, reset engine and system alarms, performing Lock-out/Tag-out procedures as needed and preparing equipment for operations.
 </li>

 Participate in shutdowns, overhauls, and upgrades of mechanical systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain high standard of cleanliness inside and outside of the power plant.

 Required:

 Technical diploma or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
 </li>
 <li>
 1&ndash;3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or field service preferred.
 </li>

 Proficiency in using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and mechanical drawings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work independently and travel frequently.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety protocols.
 </li>
 <li>
 After training (6-12 months) you will be required to re-locate to the Pecos, TX area for plant operations

Essential Duties:
<ul><li>Diagnose and optimize performance of various HVAC systems including split systems, mini split systems, RTUs, WSHPs, CRAC units, chillers, and airside equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment proficiently.</li><li>
Performs disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial or residential HVAC equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance as indicated in the service agreement.</li><li>
Successfully fulfills service contracts, quoted projects, and service calls, ensuring profitability is maintained.</li><li>
Develops long-term relationships with customers and explains work performed to the customer's satisfaction.</li><li>
Participates in technician on-call standby rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures.</li><li>
Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer, as evidenced by past driving performance record.</li><li>
Meets requirements of company vehicle driving policy, and adheres to all company safety requirements.</li><li>
Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers.</li><li>
Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.</li></ul>
Minimum Requirements:
<ul><li>Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC Service Technician.</li><li>
High School Diploma or GED is required.</li><li>
Two-year technical degree in related field is preferred.</li><li>
