Coordinates, directs and manages the office of a top College of Medicine executive.<br>

1. Coordinates and manages the daily schedule of the COM executive with internal and external parties, which includes staff, university administrators, alumni, students, Board of Regents, government officials and community leaders.

<br>Sorts and distributes clinic mail and medical records to the appropriate clinic personnel.
<br>Assists with Autoclaving instruments.
<br>Assists with Cysto procedures in clinic.
<br>Collects Urine samples/cultures
<br>Handles patient daily calls.
<br>Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
<br>Minimum Qualifications
<br>High school diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant Training program through an accredited institution.
<br>Two years of relevant experience.
<br>Current certification as a Medical Assistant through an accredited professional organization (AAMA, AMT, ARMA, NCCT, NHA, NAHP, AMCA, AAH, AAMP, or NPS).
<br>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association.
<br>Preferred Qualifications
<br>Urology or OB-Gyn experience.

The Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Division in the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider to provide high quality critical care services under the direction of a physician at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center. The candidate will be expected to provide clinical excellence and scholarly enthusiasm. The provider will have direct patient care responsibilities. The selected candidate will be appointed as a faculty Instructor and be eligible for full faculty benefits.</p><p></p><p><br>
Primary responsibilities include management of patients in the surgical ICU or thoracic surgical ICU at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center overnight from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM. This will include a variety of general surgery, transplant, vascular, cardiothoracic and general thoracic patients.

Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations.</li><li>
Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic procedures in accordance with relevant health concerns of the patient.</li><li>
Prescribes appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.</li><li>
Maintain records and write orders and progress notes in patient charts as to status, treatments, and procedures.</li><li>
Monitors and ensures accuracy of recording on patient medical records.</li><li>
Provide follow-up health maintenance care to patients in accordance with protocols established with the supervising physician.</li><li>
Communicate with physicians, patients, and the family members of patients concerning patient care.</li><li>
Collaborates with providers, and practice staff in identifying appropriate patients for care management.</li><li>
