Responsibilities
Under the immediate direction of a qualified licensed Staff Pharmacist, you will be trained to draw, dispense, and package radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with the regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy. Many of your duties will include:<ul><li>

WHO IS THE FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION?
Through a workforce of over 300 dedicated employees, the FMD operates and manages the County's capital assets by developing and maintaining cost-conscious, sustainable, high-quality facilities, and environments.
The Building Operations Section (BOS) of FMD maintains approximately 3 million square feet in facilities where King County provides regional services, including the King County Courthouse, District Courts, Maleng Regional Justice Center, Clark Child Family Justice Center, King County Administration Building, King County Detention Facilities, King County Animal Shelter, and several Public Health Facilities. Our facilities range in age from 1 to 100 years, with equipment such as boilers, chillers, DDC controls, ventilation fans, pumps and compressors, and fire/life/safety systems.

<div>The successful candidate will demonstrate skill and/or ability to:<ul><li>
Plan and schedule daily work tasks and assignments for skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled staff assigned to a building, group of buildings or multiple locations.</li><li>
Ensure staff is trained in proper procedures and/or implement training programs as directed.</li><li>
Conduct routine inspections for quality and quantity of work; monitor individual and group performance.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations; required inspection and maintenance is conducted on equipment; chemical supplies are stored and handled properly.</li><li>
Build strong, open communication with client/customers.</li><li>
Implement and monitor service level agreements and commitments.</li><li>
Supervise one or more trade staff for an assigned shift, including custodial, and/or other trades classifications in the daily maintenance of FMD owned and managed facilities.</li></ul></div>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills</h2></div>
<div>WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO HAVE:<ul><li>
Demonstrated supervisory experience managing staff involved in facility maintenance and building operations.</li><li>
Experience in developing and/or implementing safety programs, including demonstrated knowledge of Washington State or similar workplace safety laws and policies.</li><li>
Knowledge and skill in construction/maintenance cost estimating and experience in service level implementation and project contracting required.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience planning, scheduling, utilizing and coordinating a variety of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers, and support staff to maintain a facility or other public works related infrastructure.</li><li>
Experience in developing or implementing training programs and processes used in building or public works management operations to include the development of Preventive Maintenance and work order programs, etc.</li><li>
Experience in making accurate decisions in emergency situations.</li><li>
Intermediate ability in operating computers and software programs including Microsoft suite and Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.</li><li>
Skill in communicating effectively both orally and in writing with employees, peers, customers, and union representatives.</li><li>
Skills in resolving conflict, solving problems, collaborating and negotiating.</li><li>
Ability to work with a diverse work force who have varying levels of access to technology and communication channels.</li></ul>
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Knowledge and experience managing facility maintenance operations.</li><li>
Knowledge of government or public sector policies and procedures.</li><li>
Proficient with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo.</li><li>
Experience working in a unionized environment, administering collective bargaining contracts.</li></ul></div>

POSITION INFORMATION:<ul><li>
This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not overtime eligible.</li><li>
The workweek is normally 40 hours, Monday through Friday, 1st shift. The specific schedule will be determined after the initial training period is complete.</li><li>
This position is represented by PROTEC 17, Professional and Technical Employees, Local 17-Supervisors.</li><li>
This position has been designated by department leadership as a FIRST RESPONDER in the event of a proclaimed emergency. Meaning this position has a role in emergency response and is responsible for the protection and preservation of life, property, evidence, environment and/or restoration of order.</li></ul>
