 What you will be doing:
 
We will have various positions within our Finance and Accounting functional areas, including but not limited to:
<ul><li>Accounting : responsible for accounts payable, payroll, equity, reporting, general ledger, and project accounting.
</li><li>Finance : work collaboratively with Function and Program Finance to prepare projected consolidated financial statements, companywide financial planning and analysis, presentation, and decision support materials
</li><li>Internal Audit: assists in assessing the reliability of financial reporting, compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies, and the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations
</li><li>Purchasing: Completes the entire Procure-to-Pay cycle by working closely with the Receiving and Accounts Payable departments to resolve delivery and invoicing issues, including the disposition of returned material to suppliers
</li><li>Tax, Treasury, and Insurance : responsible for filing Vertex&rsquo;s corporate tax returns and engaging in tax and other planning activities. This group also performs cash planning.
</li></ul>What you will need to succeed:
<ul><li>Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Finance, Accounting, or another related field

As a key Team Manager and leader in the Strategic Sourcing function, the Director, Strategic Sourcing CoE Programs &amp; Initiatives Leader is responsible for leading the strategic sourcing organizational through designing and driving key programs for value delivery and organizational AI readiness in partnership with the functional sourcing teams, business, DTE and other key stakeholders, elevating sourcing and procurement impact to the enterprise. </li><li>Shape the future of an AI designed SS&amp;P organization and S2P processes a in partnership with the sourcing leaders, developing and delivering on organization evolution roadmaps.
</li></ul>Drive, Embed and Evolve Sourcing Value Tracking &amp; Delivery Programs
<ul><li>Lead the evolution and maturation of value tracking programs across sourcing ensuring teams are developing robust pipelines of initiatives for multi-year savings value and aligning with the business and finance to embed in budget planning
</li><li>Deploy and continue to evolve value tracking methodologies and tools for the sourcing organization including the VBM team in GMDA, in partnership with finance and the business
