Summary:
As a Commercial Portfolio Manager&ndash; CSG Corporate Mortgage Finance, you will be responsible for underwriting CMF Lending facilities, assisting with legal documentation reviews as well as monitoring client performance to ensure compliance with the Policies and Procedures of Huntington&rsquo;s Corporate Mortgage Finance Group (CMFG).
This position reports to the Portfolio Management Team Leader.
In this role, as a Portfolio Manager, you will be performing the following responsibilities:<ul><li>
Portfolio Management:<ul><li>
Structure, underwrite, and close complex direct lend bilateral and/or syndicated asset- backed credit facilities to include mortgage warehouse lines, mortgage servicing assets and other mortgage related asset-backed and SPE collateralized credit facilities</li><li>
Ensure all relationships and transactions in your assigned portfolio are in strategic alignment with the risk profile and credit policies of the Bank</li><li>
Spread financials, prepare accurate and timely risk ratings, credit request memorandums and recommendations in compliance with CMFG and bank requirements acceptable to CMFG leadership and credit administration, including new credit requests, modification requests, annual reviews, renewals, portfolio reviews and criticized asset reviews</li><li>
Monitor the performance of assigned CMF Facilities to assess ongoing creditworthiness and anticipate opportunities as well as challenges</li><li>
Monitoring and analysis to include, but not limited to, stress testing, forecasting, concentration analysis and macroeconomic evaluations.</li><li>
Present at portfolio reviews and as needed to senior management and field questions on an as needed basis from senior management</li><li>
Provide immediate communication of suspected credit problems or credit deterioration within assigned portfolio</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>
Credit Quality: Responsible for maintaining acceptable levels of credit quality for assigned portfolio consistent with the Bank and CMFG credit policies, procedures, and guidelines as evidenced by satisfactory loan reviews and audits of assigned portfolio.</li><li>
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, senior management, internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, collaboration and problem solving.</li><li>
Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and present portfolio reports highlighting performance, financial metrics, and compliance with internal policies. Additionally, prepare ad hoc portfolio reporting as needed</li><li>
Develop a deep understanding of industry markets and trends and share that knowledge with the team to support and improve risk management efforts</li><li>

Basic Qualifications:

The Department of Bioengineering seeks an experienced Research Administrator to provide comprehensive post-award support for a large and complex portfolio of grants, contracts, and special projects. This position will work directly with faculty to manage award compliance, budgets, reconciliations, projections, and financial reporting, drawing on advanced financial expertise to ensure accuracy, accountability, and strong stewardship of research funds. Minimum Requirements:

<ul><li>Advanced knowledge of post-award research administration, including budget management, financial reporting, reconciliations, forecasting, compliance monitoring, and close-outs.
</li><li>Strong working knowledge of federal regulations and sponsor requirements (e.g., Uniform Guidance, NIH, NSF, DOD/DARPA, DOE/ARPA-H, CPRIT).
</li><li>Proficiency with Oracle-based ERP systems (or similar business platforms), Excel, and financial reporting tools; comfort using virtual collaboration platforms such as Zoom.
</li><li>Ability to interpret and present complex financial data clearly to faculty, administrators, and external sponsors.
</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
</li><li>Advanced professional communication skills, with the ability to advise faculty, collaborate across departments, and liaise with external funders.
</li><li>Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to financial and administrative challenges.

<ul><li>Experience managing STEM-related research grants and faculty funding, with familiarity in the financial reporting needs of Engineering disciplines.

<ul><li>Manage post-award administration for a large and complex portfolio of grants, contracts, and special projects, ensuring compliance with university policies and sponsor requirements.
</li><li>Perform advanced financial functions, including reconciliations, forecasting, variance analyses, compliance monitoring, and financial reporting.
</li><li>Advise and partner with faculty on financial stewardship of awards, allowable costs, effort reporting, and sponsor compliance.
</li><li>Serve as a key liaison among faculty, central administration, and external sponsors on complex, multi-investigator, or center-level awards, providing accurate and timely guidance on financial and administrative matters.
</li><li>Ensure subawards, cost-sharing commitments, and project budgets align with institutional and sponsor guidelines, and resolve discrepancies proactively.
</li><li>Develop, refine, and implement departmental processes to improve efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and support long-term research administration infrastructure.
</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental and school-wide financial and research administration operations.
