Role Description:

The Operations Implementation Manager will join ShipBob's growing Supply Chain team responsible for understanding the unique strategic needs of each of our clients and delivering value to help facilitate their growth and success. This person will be responsible for managing the complex needs of one of our largest Powered By merchants, ensuring that each sub-account (the merchant's customers) is onboarded into the ShipBob operational ecosystem with the best experience. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Operations Implementation, who also serves as the backup for this role.

What you'll do:

<li>Influence: work cross-functionally with our Merchant Implementation, Quality, SFN Operations, SIC Operations, Forecasting, Analytics, and Sales teams to implement new Mid-Market clients operationally.</li>

Senior Software Engineer &ndash; Full Stack (Front End Focus)
A Senior Engineer is a key member of the engineering staff working across the organization to provide a friction-less experience to our customers and maintain the highest standards of protection and availability. Our team thrives and succeeds in delivering high quality technology products and services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between, with a strong emphasis on modern front-end frameworks and AI augmented engineering practices.
Position Responsibilities
As a Senior Engineer, you will:<ul><li>
Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems</li><li>
Build product definition and leverage your technical skills to drive towards the right solution</li><li>
Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle</li><li>
Lead in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization</li><li>
Define, create, and support reusable application components/patterns from a business and technology perspective</li><li>
Utilize modern JavaScript frameworks (such as React or Flutter), object-oriented languages, SQL/NoSQL databases, and container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes</li><li>
Apply Human&ndash;AI&ndash;Experience (HAX) guidelines and design patterns to build intuitive, human-centered AI features</li><li>
Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) as part of day to day engineering workflows</li><li>
Use context engineering techniques and AI agents to accelerate development, improve quality, and enhance developer productivity</li><li>
Mentor other engineers</li><li>
Help raise the technical bar across the team by promoting strong engineering discipline, including Test Driven Development (TDD), automated testing strategies, and modern engineering practices</li><li>
Champion high quality coding standards, maintainability, and continuous improvement across services and front end components</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Strong programming experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Flutter (experience in one is required; both is a plus)</li><li>
Proven understanding of microservices-oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs</li><li>
Experience architecting and designing new and current systems</li><li>
Familiarity with Human&ndash;AI eXperience (HAX) guidelines and the ability to apply AI centric design patterns</li><li>
Experience using AI developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar</li><li>
Understanding of context engineering concepts and how to use AI agents effectively in day to day development</li><li>
Solid understanding of DevOps concepts and modern CI/CD practices</li><li>
Strong understanding of monitoring concepts and tooling</li><li>
Strong understanding of security principles and secure coding practices</li><li>
Experience with containers, orchestration, and distributed systems
</li><li>Strong problem-solving ability</li><li>
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
Architecture assessment and proposals</li></ul>
Experience<ul><li>
4+ years of professional software development experience (object-oriented design plus experience with modern front-end frameworks)</li><li>
3+ years of experience with architecture and design</li><li>
2+ years of experience with React, Flutter, or Typescript</li><li>
2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service (cloud experience still required, but not the primary focus)</li><li>
2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks</li></ul> 
Annual Salary
$100,000.00 - $215,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate&rsquo;s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
