Summary of the Position:</div><div></div><div>
Tishman Speyer is seeking to hire a Helper to join our team, based in a property within our New York market. The Helper will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and other equipment. The Helper is expected to demonstrate technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, and hot water symptoms. Under the direction and supervision of an Operating Engineer:<ul><li>
Maintain, repair and ensure the efficient operation of all building systems including but not limited to mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls) electrical (lighting, generators), fire/life safety, and hot water systems.</li><li>
Monitor operation, adjust, and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment and ventilating and hot water heaters, pumps, valves, piping and filters.</li><li>
Perform various services for customers (tenants) as requested.</li></ul></li><li>
Responsible for understanding and complying with safety and emergency escalation procedures.</li><li>
Receive work assignments, plan work to be performed, and obtain necessary tools, equipment, and materials.</li><li>

Keep the shop, equipment rooms, and common areas clean, organized, and safe.</li><li>
Provide proper care to the assigned equipment, tools, and uniforms.</li><li>

<div><b>Overview:</b></div>
<div>The Per Diem Bartender supports the successful execution of private events at the Housing Works Bookstore by providing high quality bar service.</div>
<div>This role is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, delivering excellent guest service, and ensuring all alcohol service complies with organizational policies and legal requirements. The position requires professionalism, reliability, and the ability to adapt to a variety of event formats and guest needs.</div><br>

<div><b>Responsibilities:</b></div>
<ul><li>Set up bar stations according to event specifications, including stocking beverages, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.</li>
<li>Prepare and serve alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately.</li>
<li>Complete consumption report for each event.</li>
<li>Provide warm, attentive, and professional service to all guests throughout the event.
</li><li>Monitor guest consumption and practice responsible alcohol service at all times.</li>
</ul><div><b>Educational Requirements</b></div>
<ul><li>High School Degree or Equivalent</li>
<li>Bartending experience required</li>
<li> TIPS, or equivalent New York State alcohol awareness certification required</li>
