Job Description:</b></p><p>
We are seeking a highly motivated <b>Engineer II - Civil Engineering</b> to join our team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have <b>5 + years of experience</b> in general civil engineering, with expertise in designing minor structures, site civil works, detention basins, and related projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.</p><div></div><p><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Design and develop civil engineering solutions for minor structures, site civil works, water plant piping, detention basins, and related infrastructure.</li><li>
Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.</li><li>
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to support project planning and design.</li><li>
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions.</li><li>
Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of designs and deliverables.</li><li>
Provide technical support during construction, including responding to RFIs (Requests for Information) and resolving design-related issues.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as Parsons' internal standards.</li><li>
Maintain project documentation and reports to track progress and ensure transparency.</li></ul><div></div><p><b>
Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.</li><li><b>
8 years of experience</b> in general civil engineering, including designing minor structures, site civil works, detention basins, etc.</li><li>
Proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar tools).</li><li>
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, standards, and best practices.</li><li>
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.</li><li>
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><div></div><p><b>
Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.</li><li>
Experience working on projects in the Houston, TX area, with familiarity with local regulations and standards.</li><li>
Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics design principles.</li><li>
Experience with permitting processes and environmental compliance.</li><li>
Prefer Water/Wastewater Design experience.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
