Position will be 6:30a to 3p Monday thru Friday, with participation in the Remote rotation (1 week every 6-8 weeks) and weekend and holiday rotation. Validation of drug orders, reviewing and approval of IV admixtures, reviewing and validating all Pyxis refill activity, narcotic distribution. Epic experience a plus as well as hospital experience preferred. 
 
The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for the overall review, maintenance, revision, and implementation of the Siemens Pharmacy System and Soarian Clinicals CPOE (medications), as well as assisting in the pharmacy as needed. The Clinical Pharmacist collaborates with all hospital staff in order to meet patient's needs. This role helps to improve the health of patients and ensure a high quality of care.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Analyze and validate physician orders, review drug-drug interactions and adverse drug events, making suggestions for alternatives as needed.</li><li>
Reviews reports on key labs and markers to check for adverse reactions and consults providers with findings and suggestions to improve therapy effectiveness.</li><li>
Actively participates on hospital committees to share input from pharmacy role in patient care.</li><li>
Ensures clinical effectiveness and safety of all therapies by processing all orders as needed.</li><li>
Acts as a resource for all medication related information as required by other clinical staff.</li><li>
Assists in developing and implementing updates to the Pharmacy systems.</li><li>
