Parexel Early Phase Clinical Unit supports the development of innovative new medicines which are vital for public health, improving outcomes, and saving lives. The early phase and &ldquo;first in human&rdquo; trials are the first step in testing these novel treatments in humans.<div>
Your time here: as a Laboratory Technician you will have a thorough understanding of study protocols and lab manuals, utilize various processing laboratory equipment and will perform various diagnostic laboratory tests. Additionally, Laboratory Technicians ensure sample processing is completed correctly, monitor the laboratory and supplies needed as well as drive efficiency and accountability within the unit.

What you&rsquo;ll do after training is completed (including but not limited):<ul><li>
Collect (as appropriate), process and store human biological specimens according to protocol.</li><li>
Perform standard diagnostic laboratory tests (for example pregnancy tests, urinalysis, and drugs of abuse tests).</li><li>
Prepare and organize laboratory equipment and facilities, documentation and schedules for studies.</li><li>
Identify and problem solve study-related issues as they arise, bringing it to the attention of the correct supervisor.</li><li>

Hours/Shift - all shifts are onsite (no remote work)
Required Training: First 4 to 6 weeks required to work 30 to 40 hours a week for training during the day (M-F). Shifts are typically 6:50am to 3:20pm
After training is completed:<ul><li>
Minimum Availability requirements: 16 hours of availability a week and 2 to 3 weekend shifts a month
</li><li>Shift Details: We are seeking adaptable candidates who can primarily work evening shifts&mdash;typically 2:50 PM to 11:20 PM&mdash;with occasional overnight assignments running approximately 6:50 PM to 2:50 AM. While most shifts range from 6&ndash;8 hours, there may be times when operational needs require extended 10&ndash;12-hour shifts. Some overnight shifts may extend slightly later, occasionally until 3&ndash;4 AM.</li><li>
The actual number of hours scheduled and confirmed can vary between 0-40 hours a week, depending on business needs (hours are not guaranteed)</li></ul>
Base Pay Range: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour (this position is eligible for shift differential)
