They will also have at least some experience preparing for and assisting with trial preparation (i.e., experience drafting witness and exhibit disclosures, motions in limine, preparing witnesses) and with second-chairing a trial. Preferably, they will also have experience handling charges of discrimination filed with the EEOC and WSHRC and drafting position statements and responding to inquiries from administrative agencies.

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology invites applications for a position as a full-time Associate or Full Professor, without tenure by reason of funding on the Faculty-Scientist pathway. The anticipated start date is Spring 2026.</p>

The successful applicant will establish and lead an independent and extramurally-funded research program, and participate in teaching and mentoring graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. Scholarly focus will involve work in multi-omics integration and data science, particularly in pediatric diabetes, nephrology, environmental health and obesity research. Qualified candidates will have adjunct appointments in the UW Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with existing and newly recruited investigators at Seattle Children's Research Institute (SCRI) and the Department of Pediatrics, as well as the larger UW scientific community and the Institute for Translational Health Sciences.</p>

Associate and full Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.</p>
<p>
As the second largest Department in the UW School of Medicine, Pediatrics has twenty-one clinical divisions with approximately 1,400 academic appointments, including approximately 650 paid faculty members, 134 residents, 70 ACGME fellows, 230 staff employees and over 600 volunteer/affiliate faculty and continues to grow each year. The Department of Pediatrics is a close affiliate of Seattle Children's Hospital (SCH) and Seattle Children's Research Institute (SCRI). Faculty members appointed in the Department are located at various institutions (including Seattle Children&rsquo;s, UW Medicine, and FHCRC), and are part of the Children&rsquo;s University Medical Group (CUMG) clinical practice plan.</p>

The base salary range for this position will be: Associate Professors with PhD $13,750 &ndash; 18,000 per month ($165,000 - $216,000), Professors with PhD $16,667 - $27,084 per month ($200,004 - $325,008 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations.</p>

Job Description
<br><br>
The United States Attorney is seeking an experienced appellate lawyer to serve as an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA). The AUSA's main responsibility will be briefing and arguing direct criminal appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. The AUSA may also handle civil appeals, will litigate habeas cases in district court and the court of appeals, and will assist trial prosecutors throughout the district including handling district court briefing and hearings on emerging legal issues. Although the practice will be primarily appellate, the AUSA may also be called upon in certain cases to join a trial team and assist in trying cases in the district court. The district's appellate caseload is extremely heavy; the AUSA can expect to be responsible for a variety of matters at any one time.

Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least one (1) year post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience.

Ideal qualifications include at least three (3) years of post-J.D. litigation experience and passion for appellate work. Interest and experience in federal criminal law is also preferred.

Assistant United States Attorney's pay is administratively determined based, in part, on the number of years of professional attorney experience. The range of basic pay is $83,104 to $195,100, which includes 31.57% locality pay.
