The Development Project Manager (Q-Systems: Security) is primarily responsible for leading and managing Q-Systems Security design, pre-construction and construction activities on multiple projects. The Project Manager will interact daily with Installation Contractors, Design Consultants, Design Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations staff and should have both written and oral communication skills commensurate with this level of regular communication.) is primarily responsible for leading and managing Q-Systems Security design, pre-construction and construction activities on multiple projects. What You Will Do:<ul><li>
Manage projects on multiple campuses and oversee design / implementation budgets, schedules, and status reports for each.</li><li>
Review project design to ensure compliance with QTS system standards and Basis of Design documents.</li><li>
Review system installation to ensure compliance with system design.</li><li>
Oversee commissioning efforts to confirm systems operate in compliance with QTS system standards, Basis of Design and design documents.</li><li>
Implement and manage multi-phased site development plans to achieve time, budget, and quality standards in a predictable fashion. Continuously update a campus master plan to provide predictable statistics in a dynamic environment.</li><li>
Evaluate and level pricing proposals for technology design, construction, and commissioning services.</li><li>
Monitor and track project schedules and manage teams to on-time completion.</li><li>
Identify schedule / implantation obstacles and proactively remove obstacles that are detrimental to project schedules.</li><li>
Establish and maintain relationships serving as liaison with key QTS stakeholders.</li><li>
Represent QTS interests as leader in OAC and low voltage meetings.</li><li>
Work with the internal development team to enhance project management processes and protocols.</li><li>
Develop relationship with QTS Facility Operations and Technology teams to understand their needs and deliver technologies that support facility operation&rsquo;s needs</li></ul>
What You Will Need to be Successful (basic qualifications):<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.</li><li>
4-8 years of professional experience in technology systems - security, and/or network infrastructure design and/or implementation.</li><li>
Experience with Microsoft Office suite</li><li>
Be able to travel up to 50% of the time. Average travel anticipated to be every other week for 2-3 days.</li><li>
US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts</li></ul>
