The Director, Procurement is responsible for leading the strategic sourcing, supply continuity, cost management, and supplier performance for all poultry and poultry-adjacent ingredients across the organization. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Plans & coordinates relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and vendors for the US Supply Chain including utilizing current supply chain software to monitor any potential supply issues and providing information to cross functional departments, working with the Director to control and supervise supplier and distributor issues assessing root cause, improvement opportunities and associated risk, and communicating timely expansion plans and new volume changes to suppliers.
 
Effectively analyzes, manages, and communicates the optimization of cost and inventory levels including making appropriate recommendations for inventory levels and replenishment policies, providing forecasts to ensure stock is adequate for all distribution channels, managing sourcing planning, including current inventory and forecast demand, and managing tracking, recording and reporting on product development life cycle to ensure on time launch of new item.

<div>Job Summary
The Manager, Expense Governance &amp; Controls is responsible for ensuring that enterprise cost savings are fully captured, sustained, and protected from leakage. This role strengthens financial discipline through structured governance, spend controls, and integration of savings into budgets, forecasts, and operational processes. 
 
This leader will serve as a key steward of cost integrity, partnering closely with Finance, FP&amp;A, Procurement, and business leaders to embed lasting controls across the organization. 
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Maintain the official enterprise savings tracker</li><li>
Reconcile initiatives to the P&amp;L to confirm financial realization</li><li>
Identify slippage, reversals, or leakage risks</li><li>
Conduct deep-dive expense analysis to uncover variance drivers</li><li>
Implement and monitor spend approval thresholds</li><li>
Enforce vendor, contract, and purchasing controls</li><li>
Standardize procurement and purchasing channels to ensure compliance</li><li>
 Embed validated savings into annual budgets</li><li>
Adjust forecasts to reflect run-rate reductions</li><li>
Review and challenge incremental spend requests against cost discipline standards</li><li>
Facilitate recurring cost governance review forums</li><li>
Prepare executive performance materials and savings reports</li><li>
Track commitments, decisions, and follow-through actions</li><li>
Embed cost controls into financial systems and operational platform</li><li>
 Standardize cost management workflows</li><li>
Develop and maintain cost governance playbooks and documentation</li></ul> 
Qualifications<ul><li>
5&ndash;8+ years of experience in FP&amp;A, PMO, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, or related disciplines</li><li>
Strong governance, controls, and process orientation</li><li>
High attention to detail with strong analytical rigor</li><li>
Ability to enforce standards while partnering effectively across functions</li><li>
Comfortable operating in structured, accountability-driven environments</li></ul>

JOB SUMMARY 
The Procurement Internship Program is a summer internship opportunity with the Georgia Department of Transportation. This program provides students with collaborative and innovative learning experiences that complement their academic curriculum. Interns will expand and strengthen their professional background by building workplace relationships, learning new tools, and gaining hands-on experience.
PRIMARY DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES 
The intern will have experience by immersion into the various steps of looking for innovative solutions to a department need identified through an analysis. The defined learning elements for the 90-day program will include: 
1. Data analysis is needed, tools that are used, and how to interpret the data. 
a. Data Review 
i. Use of Queries 
ii. Statistical needs analysis &ndash; Areas of demand, Frequency of Demand, 
Forecasting 
b. Market Review 
i. What/How are other DOTs doing to meet the need 
ii. Internet search of similar programs/solutions/solicitations 
c. Scope Development 
i. Defining outline of criteria 
ii. Stakeholder Review 
2. Public Solicitation Development for a Request of Quote, Term Contract 
a. Defining of Evaluation Criteria 
b. Cost Worksheet development 
c. Public View Posting 
d. Evaluation and Award 
3. Basic Contract Development
Each of the 3 areas will be supervised and mentored by the Office of Procurement Strategic Sourcing manager. Providing knowledge and guidance what is needed for each task.
STATE QUALIFICATIONS 
Enrolled as a full-time or part-time student 
2.0 overall GPA or better 
Fall of previous year academic transcript 
Meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States; 18 years of age 
Meet any additional requirements of the attending school's Internship Program
AGENCY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
Enrolled as a full-time or part-time student currently pursuing a BS or MS in Business Administration or equal 
2.0 overall GPA or better

IMPORTANT NOTE: 
This is a temporary internship position. Interns are paid on an hourly basis in accordance with their current academic classification as of the previous Fall Semester. The pay for this position is as follows:<ul><li>
Lower-division undergraduate (0&ndash;59 semester hours): $20.00 per hour</li><li>
Upper-division undergraduate (60&ndash;120 semester hours): $21.00 per hour
</li><li>Graduate students (must hold a bachelor&rsquo;s degree and be enrolled in a graduate program): $23.00 per hour</li></ul>
