Responsibilities:

Work with the Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner</p><ul><li><p>
Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis</p></li><li><p>
Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist</p></li><li><p>
Locate correct medication and strength to complete picking of order.</p></li><li><p>
Prepare, count, label, and package pharmaceuticals for Pharmacist approval</p></li><li><p>
Purchase, receive and coordinate inventory</p></li><li><p>
Maintain and update inventory recap report</p></li><li><p>
Retrieve discontinued or expired medications from stock; discard or return to stock as appropriate; complete corresponding documentation</p></li><li><p>
Maintain prescription logs</p></li><li><p>
Accurately calibrate equipment and document calibration according to policy</p></li><li><p>
Assist with the maintenance of pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs and documents maintenance</p></li><li><p>
Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements</p></li><li><p>
Performs other duties as assigned</p></li><li><p>
Comply with all policies and standards</p></li></ul><p><b>
Education/Experience:</b><br>
High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office (i.e. biller, coder, office assistance, or prior authorization/certification) experience. Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic/debilitating illnesses.<br>
</p><p><b>License/Certification:</b> Texas State pharmacy technician license (TSBP) required</p>
Pay Range: $19.43 - $32.98 per hour<p>
