<p>We are a dynamic daily newspaper based in the heart of New York City, seeking an experienced and dedicated Assignment Editor to join our team.</p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>A minimum of a bachelor's degree.</li><li>At least five years' experience at a newspaper, website, or magazine.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to write and edit stories.</li><li>Deep understanding of China and China-US relations.</li><li>Experience working or living in China is highly preferred.</li><li>Proficiency in reading and writing Chinese is preferred.</li></ul><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Assign stories to editorial staff to ensure daily publication.</li><li>Edit stories to maintain high-quality journalism.</li><li>React immediately to breaking news and requests.</li><li>Build teams and streamline editorial processes.</li><li>Plan ahead for stories and future events.</li><li>Collaborate with the new media team and edit scripts for video production.</li><li>Work five days a week in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><p>If you're a proactive, detail-oriented editor passionate about news and international relations, we&rsquo;d love to hear from you!</p><p>This is a full-time position.
