Under the direct supervision of the licensed clinician, the ophthalmic assistant performs a wide range of clinical and administrative tasks to facilitate the delivery of eye care in an outpatient clinic.<br>

Essential Functions<br>
<ul><li>Performs a wide range of vision and ocular testing, imaging, and assessments to prepare patients for a comprehensive eye exam with the licensed clinician.

<ul><li>Proper identification and instillation of diagnostic eye drops for patients as part of the routine eye exam and as directed by the clinician.

<ul><li>Under the supervision and direction of the ophthalmologist, sets up and assists in minor office procedures, including but not limited to injections and cryotherapy.

<ul><li>Maintains adequate medical/ophthalmic supplies in the exam.

<ul><li>Measure and record vital signs as instructed for procedures and other purposes.

The Opportunity: Patient Care Assistant &ndash; Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)<br>

<ul><li>This unit REQUIRES at least one year of inpatient acute care experience</li></ul><br>
*This unit requires you to be licensed or certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT or other critical care training*<br>

*Apply ONLY if you are able to work both Day and Night shift*<br>

<ul><li>40-hour| Day/Night shift</li><li>(5) 8-hour shifts OR (2) 12-hour shifts &amp; (2) 8-hour shift
</li></ul>-7a -7p, 7a-3p and 7p-7a, 11p-7a<br>
-Require one weekend shift per month -a Saturday or Sunday<br>

PACU consists of 111 bays caring for post-op patients recovering from anesthesia before moving to an inpatient unit.<br>

Job Summary</b></p>
Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.<br>

Essential Functions<br>
<br>
<ul><li>Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.</li><li>Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.</li><li>Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
</li><li>Helps patients with a number of basic hygiene tasks. This may include bathing and dressing patients, helping them use the toilet if needed, and feeding them.
</li><li>Assist with helping patients turn and reposition themselves in bed as needed and help them move between the bed and a wheelchair if they use one.</li><li>Listens to any health concerns patients may have and report those concerns to the nurses.</li></ul><p></p><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><b><br>
