Summary
Patient Care Associate provides patient focused, age-specific, information and clinical based support to patients through the utilization of appropriate health information equipment/systems. This is the level 3 job in the nursing support career ladder. 
 
Responsibilities 
Uses a systematic process to provide/modify care and patient/family education. Assists health care team with simple procedures; prepares supplies &amp; equipment; provides patient/family support, assists in positioning patients, sets up/or remove equipment etc. Under direction, performs a variety of tasks associated with generalized patient care (vital signs, feeding, mobility, drainage, and personal hygiene: bath, dressing, bed making/linen changes etc.). American Heart Association and any additional applicable life support certification for Healthcare Providers may be required at the unit level upon hire with at least 6 months validity and maintenance at JHS for the duration of employment.

Registered Respiratory Therapist I

POSITION PURPOSE: 
 
Provide supportive and services to patients under the supervision of skill nursing (RNs) staff. Team member in the delivery of health care services. Collaborates with the Miami-Dade County Health Department&rsquo;s Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (FBCCEDP) and CHI FBCCEDP/CRC designees to assess and improve screening rate by providing clinical breast and cervical cancer screenings, including Pap smears, mammograms, and colorectal cancer screenings to eligible women and men in the community. The program will also identity women and men at-risk in the community and provide valuable education, outreach and/or cancer screening reminders. Oversee all aspects of the care coordination to ensure high quality patient care. 
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
Education/Experience:
 
High School diploma or GED equivalent. Graduate from an approved Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant Program (in Florida or any other State) 1-2 years experience in a medical setting desired. 
 
Licensure / Certification:
 
Certified as a Medical Assistant or as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Florida. As a Nursing Assistant, must be licensed in the State of Florida. Must maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Overview Orah Dermatology &amp; Cutaneous Surgery is seeking a dedicated Medical/Surgical Assistant to join our growing team. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Medical Assistant to join our team part-time. This is a great opportunity for a medical student, pre-PA, or pre-med student seeking hands-on clinical experience in dermatology.Responsibilities include, but not limited to <ul><li>Collaborate with team to ensure delivery of best quality care to patients</li><li>Properly greeting each patient with a professional and pleasant attitude</li><li>Prepare and clean exam rooms and sterilization of medical instruments</li><li>Rooming and interviewing patients, collecting history</li><li>Charting and scribing the patient encounter in the electronic medical record system</li><li>Document procedure (CPT) and ICD-10 codes in the EMR</li><li>Photographing patient images into EMR</li><li>Assist with dermatological procedures and surgeries.</li><li>Assist with Botox, Filler and Laser treatments</li><li>Thoroughly explain procedures, treatments and after care to patients</li><li>Perform suture removals and dressing changes</li><li>Write/send prescriptions and complete prior authorizations if required</li><li>Educate and facilitate the sale of products and aesthetic services</li><li>Answering phone calls and patient messages</li><li>Informing patients of their lab or pathology results</li><li>Cleaning and sterilizing equipment, perform applicable equipment maintenance</li><li>Collecting, labeling and preparing laboratory specimens; manage service providers</li><li>Maintain overall cleanliness of office space</li><li>Other practice duties including administrative tasks as required</li><li>Possibly travel to our North Miami location if needed</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred</li><li>Prior medical assistant experience preferred (dermatology a plus)</li><li>Interest in healthcare (pre-PA, pre-med, or medical students encouraged to apply)</li><li>Authorized to work in US</li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and accurately prioritize problems &amp; initiatives</li><li>Experience with Modernizing Medicine (EMA) software recommended</li><li>Reliability and punctuality are a must</li><li>Consistent attendance is required&mdash;this role supports a surgical schedule and cannot accommodate last-minute call-outs</li></ul>Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Free parking</li><li>Paid training</li></ul>Work Location: In person
