Combined Our Team Members Have 20+ Years Certified as Medical Surgical Nurses. We are a 42-bed Medical Specialties Unit. Our diverse patient population includes but is not limited to CHF, Sickle Cell, Renal Failure, Vascular, Sepsis, COPD, Pneumonia, Osteomyelitis w/ Surgical Interventions, Wound Care and, an assortment of varying disease processes.
We one main Nursing Station and 7 Substations. Within those Substations you can visualize your patient assignment and govern your own work area. Equipment utilized on unit has EPIC integration, thus decreasing your time inputting data. We live out our &ldquo;no staff left behind&rdquo; motto and teamwork model by staying in contact with each other through the use of walkie talkies, including the management team. The position is 7A-7p, 3 days a week, Monday - Friday. No weekends or major holidays.
Cardiac Techs help aid the RNs throughout the prep and recovery of our Cardiac Catheterization, Electrophysiology, and Cardiac OR patients. In our department we prep and recover 40 - 60 patients a day. In the recovery area, the cardiac techs are trained to settle patients in the room postoperatively (hooking to the monitor, cleaning, repositioning); obtain EKGs or any specimens ordered; remove arterial and venous sheaths from the femoral, radial and brachial sites; help patients that are on bedrest with eating, toileting, or any other request per the patient; and transporting patients to their inpatient room or assisting in the discharge process. This job does require the capabilities to lift, push, pull, and standing for long periods of time.

Permanent Respiratory Therapist (RT) – Night Shift

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. This role involves direct patient care, ventilator management, diagnostic testing, and education. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based respiratory care.<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>
Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.</li><li>
Administer therapeutic interventions such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and bronchodilator treatments.</li><li>
Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilatory support.</li><li>
Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs), arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, and other diagnostic procedures.</li><li>
Respond to emergency situations including Code Blue, rapid response calls, and trauma resuscitations.</li><li>
Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.</li><li>
Educate patients and families on managing respiratory conditions, equipment use, and treatment compliance.</li><li>
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment.</li><li>
Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and safety standards.</li><li>
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>
Associate&rsquo;s degree in Respiratory Therapy required; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li><li>
Current state licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).</li><li>
Credentialed as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care).</li><li>
BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP certification preferred (based on patient population served).</li><li>
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Physical Requirements:</h3><ul><li>
Ability to lift and position patients, transport equipment, and respond quickly in emergencies.</li><li>
