Work in collaboration with the Director of Dental Services to establish and refine dental policies and quality improvement procedures.</li><li>
Evaluate current practices and recommend enhancements to improve patient flow, dental records, billing, and appointment practices.</li><li>
Supervise, direct, train, and educate dental ancillary staff to ensure clear understanding of policies, procedures, and protocols.</li><li>
Provide emergency call coverage as scheduled, adhering to established protocols and standard practices.</li><li>

Authoritative knowledge of the practice and techniques of dentistry as a general practitioner in a community health center is highly desirable.</li><li>
Must be able to manage multiple deadline and decision making responsibilities.</li><li>

Job Duties</b></h2></div><div><p>
Scope of practice:</p><ul><li>
This position is open to both Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship trained or General Pediatric/Internal Medicine-Pediatric residency trained physicians. No hematology-oncology specific training is required for the residency-trained applicant. Training will be provided after hiring.</li><li>
Residency trained applicants do not need to have Hospital Medicine fellowship training- they may be hired directly out of residency.</li><li>
Both types of applicant will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to manage inpatient care of Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant patients. They will attend to patient&rsquo;s medical needs on admitted inpatients as well as assist with new admissions.</li><li>
Based on their training, applicants can oversee junior level personnel including fellows, residents and advanced practice practitioners and can be involved in education.</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
Roles include:</p><p>
Approximately 8 weeks of in-house night coverage per year.</p><p>
Fellowship trained physicians:</p><ul><li>
Attending on the inpatient (daytime) service teams within the faculty attending rotation.</li><li>
Assigned days performing bone marrow aspirate/biopsies and lumbar punctures as part of our Procedure Team.</li><li>
Other clinical duties are possible based on service needs and/or individual interest.</li><li>
Efforts will be made to align clinical duties to areas in which the candidate has clinical and/or research interest.</li></ul><p>
Residency trained physicians:</p><ul><li>
Daytime assignments will be in a frontline practitioner role on Hematology-Oncology or Bone Marrow Transplant teams.</li><li>
Other daytime possibilities that can be discussed include time on the Procedure Team or working in our Urgent Care clinic- training would be provided for both.</li><li>
Time is built into the schedule to allow for work on scholarly activity or personal projects.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
