<li>Serves as a client advocate ensuring safety needs are addressed by assessing the home environment, developing and implementing individualized abuse prevention plans, and reporting any suspected vulnerability such as abuse, neglect or financial exploitation.</li>
<li>Meets documentation standards ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with state and payer/billing requirements.</li>
<li>Provides education to the client, family, caregivers, licensed clinicians (as indicated), and unlicensed personnel.</li>
<li>Provides direct care to clients of varying ages, clinical acuity levels, and diagnoses in accordance with the company’s policies, procedures, processes and the Minnesota Physical Therapy Practice Act.</li>
<li>Coordinates client care with family, caregivers, community resources, and other health care</li>
</ul>
members.

<li>Provides clinical oversight, delegation, and leadership to licensed clinicians and unlicensed personnel.</li>
<li>Ensures effective and appropriate financial management of the client’s home health services are met.</li>

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
 Client care provided in individual client homes and may require transfers and lifting with adaptive equipment. Must be adaptable to a variety of environments and community settings. Must be able to drive or use public transportation in all types of weather.
 
Heavy. Amount of weight moved; 50 to 100 pounds occasionally; 25 to 50 pounds frequently; 10 to 20 pounds constantly. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 <ul>
<li>Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist (PT) in the State of Minnesota. The license must not have been revoked, suspended and without limitations or restrictions.</li>
<li>Proof of negative TB testing: Mantoux skin test, single TB blood test or chest x-ray.</li>
<li>Access to a dependable automobile in order to travel to multiple company business stops a day.</li>
<li>A valid driver’s license and proof of current car insurance when using a personal vehicle for company business.</li>
<li>Have U.S. Citizenship or evidence of valid Alien Work Permit.</li>
<li>Disclose any conviction and criminal history records pertaining to any crime related to the provision of health services. A candidate who has been convicted of such crimes will not be hired.</li>
<li>Pass initial and ongoing background studies and screenings including but not limited to those of the Minnesota Department of Health and the Federal Office of the Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals and Entities.</li>
</ul>
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
 <ul>
<li>Have at least two (2) years’ experience in a health care facility or home care field.</li>
<li>Demonstrates critical thinking skills, the ability to follow standards/procedures, and make appropriate clinical judgments to provide safe and effective client care.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, adapt to change, and manage a variety of assignments while establishing priorities and ensuring the necessary duties are completed.</li>
<li>Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills; interpersonal communication and teaching skills.</li>
<li>Basic computer skills and willing to learn new software programs; experience with Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft Outlook preferred.</li>
<li>Current CPR certification highly recommended.</li>

Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Respiratory Therapist, you&rsquo;ll play an essential role in guiding patients through both routine care and critical moments. You&rsquo;ll perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while managing invasive and noninvasive ventilation across a variety of care settings. Your role will include:
<ul><li>Assessing respiratory status by performing focused exams, interpreting breath sounds and airway patency, and determining the need for respiratory interventions.</li><li>
Delivering evidence-based therapy by providing oxygen support, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other treatments across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.</li><li>
Managing ventilation and airways by assisting with artificial airway placement, initiating and adjusting invasive and noninvasive ventilation, monitoring patient responses, and responding quickly to clinical changes or emergencies.</li><li>
Supporting patients and the care team by educating patients and families, serving as a clinical resource, partnering with physicians and nurses, and helping stabilize newborns during deliveries when needed.</li><li>
Maintaining equipment and safety by setting up, operating, and cleaning respiratory equipment; ensuring readiness and preventive maintenance; transporting ventilated patients safely; and following all infection-prevention standards.</li></ul>
What qualifications you will need:
<ul><li>Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date</li><li>
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date</li><li>
(NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist</li><li>
Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate</li><li>
(RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner</li></ul>
