This position would focus on Breast and Gynecologic Cancers and the applicant would be expected to participate in the HDR brachytherapy practice. This is a robust gynecologic practice treating &gt;100 patients per year across 4 physician providers and 2 health systems both equipped with new Varian Bravos units. Candidates must have completed their residency in an ACGME-accredited radiation oncology program and/or fellowship in an accredited US training program and have a track record of excellence in clinical care and research.</p><p></p><p><br>

Physician, Radiation Oncology (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor)

The Department of Pediatrics is currently seeking an Assistant Professor (Hospitalist on Pediatric Hematology-Oncology).</p><p></p><p><br>
Scope of practice:</p><ul><li>
This position is open to both Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship trained, or General Pediatric/Internal Medicine-Pediatric residency trained physicians. No hematology-oncology specific training is required for the residency-trained applicant. Training will be provided after hiring.</li><li>
Residency trained applicants do not need to have Hospital Medicine fellowship training- they may be hired directly out of residency.</li><li>
Both types of applicants will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to manage inpatient care of Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant patients. They will attend to patient's medical needs on admitted inpatients as well as assist with new admissions.</li><li>
Based on their training, applicants can oversee junior level personnel including fellows, residents and advanced practice practitioners and can be involved in education.</li></ul><p>
Roles include</p><ul><li>
Approximately 8 weeks of in-house night coverage per year.</li><li>
Fellowship trained physicians:</li><li>
Attending on the inpatient (daytime) service teams within the faculty attending rotation.</li><li>
Assigned days performing bone marrow aspirate/biopsies and lumbar punctures as part of our Procedure Team.</li><li>
Other clinical duties are possible based on service needs and/or individual interest.</li><li>
Efforts will be made to align clinical duties to areas in which the candidate has clinical and/or research interest.</li><li>
Residency trained physicians:<ul><li>
Daytime assignments will be in a frontline practitioner role on Hematology-Oncology or Bone Marrow Transplant teams.</li><li>
Other daytime possibilities that can be discussed include time on the Procedure Team or working in our Urgent Care clinic- training would be provided for both.</li><li>

TCH Pediatric Urology - Senior Faculty

The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at BCM and TCH was established in 1967 and has produced many of the nation's leaders in the field over the past 50 years. With 897 licensed beds spread across three campuses, a wildly diverse patient population, and the proximity to Latin America, practitioners are presented with a wide array of challenging clinical scenarios ranging from common diseases to life-threatening infections. The clinical cases that are encountered drive the academic career of many of the more than 25 members of the Division. The faculty conduct clinical, translational and basic science research as well as excel in educational scholarship and quality improvement initiatives. Two inpatient consulting teams plus a separate transplant team provide care at the Medical Center campus while the West Campus and The Woodlands hospitals each have their own infectious diseases teams. Current funding in the Division exceeds $2 million/year in grants and contracts. The Division has an ACGME approved fellowship program which matriculates up to 3 fellows per year and supports a one-year subspecialty fellowship in pediatric transplant infectious diseases. Since 1978, more than 90 physicians have been trained in the fellowship program. Many former BCM/TCH pediatric infectious diseases fellows hold academic positions in more than 30 institutions throughout the United States and several other countries. The faculty have served in leadership positions of pediatric and infectious diseases professional societies as well as in advisory positions for the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Board of Pediatrics, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institutes of Health, and the Food and Drug Administration.
